Hi Huios, nice to see ya alive 'n kickin, still watching (mostly) naked charts. And, of course, tampa, so glad he has found his sugar (or is that CCI) daddy. We miss the two of you. Well, I'm not sure "miss" is the right word for tampa, but you know what I mean. Looking forward to another fun-filled journey thru the dark, mysterious labyrinth of the trading netherworld.
To be honest, Iâve had better days. It started off on the wrong side when I logged on to ET to discover yet ANOTHER in a long series of off topic posts from none other than Magna, the so called moderator! His never ending snide and at times downright rude postings have all but trashed this journal. Anyway, at 9:37 I entered a gap closing trade, and began to compose a message for Baron to post on the Feedback section complaining about the poor moderating on this board. While I am typing away, the gap failed to close, and the trade went 3 ½ points against me on a 5 lot. Damn-it! At 10:03 I saw a Shamu setting up on the 31 tick chart, and jumped on it with another 5 lot. What I failed to notice, because I was sending a PM to inandlong asking him how I could contact the boardâs advertisers to complain about Magna, was the Batman on the two-hour nine minute all-sessions chart. Needless to say the pattern overrides the stupid whale signal, and cost me 4 ¼ points, for a total loss of 7 ¾ points before 10:15! As luck would have it, I missed the reverse divergence at 10:41 when the pizza delivery guy showed up at the front door. Crap! And thatâs when things really got bad. There it was â price rejection on the 9 minute chart, with a confirming 25 LSMA cross on the 217 tick chart. But Woodie dosenât say anything about it, so while Iâm waiting for the go-ahead from him, that never came, the sucker runs a point, maybe a point and a quarter! I could have made some serious bucks on a 25 or 50 lot trade â but nooooooo, because Woodie didnât call it! So I asked him why, and he just says: âDidnât see itâ tampaâ. This kinda pissed me off, so I said: âDonât you think you should have seen it?â And he says: âRelax, There will be better trades down the road, I guarantee it.â Well now Iâm really hot under the collar, and I shoot back: âYou old fool, there will be an SEC investigation of this room, and I guarantee it!â Two seconds later, I was booted out of the room. Like I said, Iâve had better days. Iâm down a total of $1,937.50, plus another $48.00 in commission. Shit... Maybe things will pick up this afternoon.
An old sage told the best advice- Always look forward to getting fired- your next job will be better. Look especially forward to getting a divorce as the next woman will be better. Go bankrupt- nobody wants their old bills.
Geez, sorry your morning started off so bad, nothing like a failed Shamu to wipe the smile off anyones face. Didn't mean to distract you, I'll do my very best to stay on-topic in the future. (db, what was the topic again???)
Maybe I can help. Journals: "The place for keeping a daily journal of wins, losses, and anything else related to your quest of becoming a better trader." (click)
wow, this is a nice thread. magna seems like a downright nice guy, ghostrider being the punk kid, and tampa the gf of hershey. did i miss anything? oh yah, i'm the big bad mofo sittin next to u in the prop office. If u think i smell bad, ur right, and i don't give a wasps sting about it either.
I am at a complete loss! Try as I might to maintain a serious trading journal â not so much for my benefit, but for the trading community as a whole â my efforts have been repeatedly sabotaged by the moderator Magna, a mean-spirited man whoâs posts bring on a cascade of equally off-topic remarks that end up taking this journal in a direction unintended. Was it not just a day or two ago that he chastised a member for replying to posts written by someone other than the journal keeper? I think it was. And how many were the times that the tyrant threatened to delete off-topic posts, or even to banish the entire thread to the dreaded chit-chat section? As much as I want to continue chronicling my market endeavors, as much as I know it means to the more junior traders here at ET, at this juncture I must question my efforts. Is it any wonder that serious traders, such as myself, are to be found less and less on this board? Should anyone require an answer, he or she need look no further than to the gang of thugs collectively known as the moderators who have systematically driven away the good in favor of what we now have. I may or may not continue to post â at this point the number of erroneous messages appearing herein, along with the additional $3,841.50 that I lost this afternoon when my computer screen became frozen while innocently perusing an adult content web site have left me crest-fallen.
