Well, a lot has happened since we last got together. After nearly going cross-eyed trying to read his posts, and gaining some 84 lbs., I gave up on that Hershey guy and his damn chocolates. Net result: down $29,354.50 in my account, but my cholesterol went from 213 to 471.

I also upgraded my system to a near state of the art Intel 286 with Windows 3.11 – WOW – what a difference! I should have done it years ago.

Anyway, I am still trading the S&P Mini, and doing better at it. I signed up with this guy named Mohan who gives these clear cut, unhedged calls everyday before the market opens. And the neat thing is that most days if the clear cut unhedged calls don’t pan out, he gives you some other signals to try. It’s all based on Market Profile and floor trader Pivot Points and stuff, plus his unique ability to interpret chicken bones. So far, so good! His calls are dead on 2 or 3 days a week – and good for 8 to 10 points at a clip. The only downside would be the days when his calls ain’t so good. I tend to pass on the good days, and jump on the not so good ones.

But things are looking up – my cholesterol is down to 371, and I’ve managed to shed about 38 pounds from that disastrous flirtation with that Hershey character and his off-the-wall Stochastic Rocket Ships. My health has improved markedly, and my head no longer hurts from trying to read his posts.

I see that things have changed a lot around here. Especially with the Moderators – first it was that Aphi, so who’s next – 40yotrader? Maybe Faster Pussycat?

Well, if there’s enough interest, I’ll restart my ”journal” – I mean now that market surfer has faded into the sun (once again!), I figured that you folks could use some guidance and direction from someone like me.

Do us all a favor - stop paper trading, and trade with real money. That way you'll wash out in a week, and we can be rid of you!

OK, so Hershey and his lap dawg fooled me. But my losses were minor (under 30 large), and I did enjoy his candy. So mind your own business, and butt out...

After years of fruitless searching, I have finally found what I have been looking for – Woodie and his magical CCI.

That Mohan guy was alright (pretty good actually, as I only lost $13,651.25 last month following his advice, well kind of following it, sorta.) Anyway, I found Woodie. and his wonderful slingshots and Shamus.

The other nice thing about his “room” is that members can actually play their favorite musical selections for all the rest of us to hear! One guy has a kid who plays guitar accompanied by a girl he met at church who plays the saxophone or something (maybe it’s a tuba – it’s hard to tell for sure). They recorded a bunch of old Patsy Cline ditties, and some original songs on an 8-track recorder. The tape is really swell. And don’t worry over having missed it – he pipes it down line 7 or 8 times a day.

Woodies’ “room” is free, but runs on something called HotCom that costs about $651.29 a month. I say “about” because they keep changing the price. You might think that the cost would piss off a lot of folks, but the constant outages and crashes seem to divert everyone’s attention from that.

After market hours things really get going. Woodie’s room has almost 400 traders in it every day! About two to three hundred of them are “newbies” asking the most basic questions (like: “anyone know the symbol for the e-mini?”) over and over again. olmikey usually handles the replies – that is when he isn’t talking about how he’s going to move to an apartment in Largo, Florida just as soon as he gets things ironed out with the VA back in Chicago.

Did I mention the ghosts or the batman patterns, or the secret indicators that Woodie puts on his charts but refuses to tell anyone about? Well, maybe some other time. Ken C is going to replay that tape of his son and the girl he met at church who plays the oboe again, and I don’t want to miss it.

So far I am up almost eighty-five bucks this month, so I don’t want to hear any crap from the peanut gallery about this latest turn in my search for truth and knowledge in my trading career. I’ll post more later.

Hello tampa, thought you were about buried in systems.

I will second the Woodie CCIclub - as probably one of the best, most cost effective places to learn to trade. Not get fed but learn. Kinda nice when the light comes on and one learns to see.

    Make 'em pretty, Chris

Hey man, I wouldn't call it fruitless, you (and all of us) just have to find lots of ways it don't work before we...

    a) Quit in disgust.

    b) Run out of money.

    c) Listen to our wives and find real jobs.

    d) Convince someone to give us their profitable system after all their hard work (ie... a real magnanimous feller) and screw it up anyway.

    e) Find the error of our ways and find our personal "grail"

    d) All of the above

Speaking of Grails, you travelled that path some time ago I believe.

Good to see this thread on top of the heap again. Missed your humor.

btw, my charts ain't naked no 'mo. I've done dressed 'em up nice and pretty, but not too much. Still like'm pretty... pretty naked.
