Well now, would you be the same Johnny Q who’s in my chat room, and blames his bad trades on me? The same Johnny Q who the other guys call Mister Sour Grapes?

How’s about I post the log from yesterday, and let the readers decide on their own?

10:22:31...tampa >>> well it looks like they took out our stop, and we lost a few.
    10:23:01...John Q >>> Lost a few? 38 points is not a few, it’s a lot, damn-it!
10:23:54...tampa >>> it is our standard stop loss, John Q.
10:24:44...John Q >>> And it’s the third time in two days that it has been hit. 38 points at $50 x 3 is $5,700 for god’s sake!
10:26:30...tampa >>> well there is a risk in futures trading, and past performance is no guarantee of future performance, John Q.
10:27:01...John Q >>> You sir, are a fool, a moron, a first class jerk, and a certifiable charlatan who should be behind bars, and not running a chat room!
    10:28:31...subliminal >>> He’s got a point there, tampa.
    10:29:40...daniel m >>> ...ditto
10:30:11...Magna >>> I’ve got to agree with John Q on this one.
10:33:31...tampa >>> did you guys come here to trade, or to bitch? OK, here’s another one, jump on it – and of course the usual stop – 38 points.
10:34:38...daniel m >>> was that long or short, tampa?
10:35:17...tampa >>> whichever one floats your boat, daniel m – just remember to always use our stop.

  3. Just wanted to drop in, Tampa, and add my 2 cents... this has gotta be the funniest thread I have ever read... and it does a great job, too, at exposing (in general terms) some of the less tasty snake oil currently being peddled... keep up this great thread!

Funny? You think the misery I suffer in the markets, the morons I must suffer in my chat room, and the slings and arrows directed at me in my very own journal are funny?

You, my good fellow, have a warped sense of humor – a warped sense of humor indeed!

It's enough to make me have a manly cry.

Journals come, and journals go – and somethime they come back.

After a three week snit, I have decided to restart the Journal that we all came to know and love. Why? Two reasons: 1) I miss it 2) I have no one but Mister Subliminal to tell of my exploits.

To quickly bring you up to speed on what has happened during the past three weeks. I made a very difficult decision. With all of my heart, and all of my soul I want nothing more then to sit here six plus hours a day making one trade after another. But alas, it’s killing me and my account. I am not a good scalper, and it is more then time to concede that undeniable fact.

I probably made fewer than a half-dozen trades the first two weeks – losing maybe five points. This past week I switched to the NQ’s (no particular reason) and did a bit better: Monday +16 ½, Tuesday +11, Wednesday and Thursday 0, and Friday –2 points. All were swing/day trades, basically playing pullbacks off a three-minute chart. ( the famous tampa technique)

I am simply not up to scalping 10, 20, 30 or more times a day for what amounts to a few ticks, and so will no longer attempt to play the game.

Of course it is pointless to chalk up 25 ½ points and then have no one to tell about it. The fact that traffic dropped off dramatically in my chat room may also have played a part in my decision to resume.

    THANX

In the spirit of Traders Helping Traders, attached is a screen shot sent to me by another Elite Traders Forum member who has quite a way with trend line analysis.

As you will see, it is amazing how just a few lines drawn on a chart can make things so clear.

Thanks go out to (-name omitted at the request (demand?) of the moderator-) for this valuable help.

Modesty (and management) forbids me from using the fine service provided by Baron to shamelessly hawk the chat room on this board.

But if you ask around I am sure that some other member (hint: Mister Subliminal) could provide you with that information.

Hmm, well in an earlier thread you say you're a great scalper and you're making great money every day. There's too many liars on ET:(
