OK, so how much is a man to endure?

The insulting posts from the likes of qcast, and MarkB, among others, plus the demeaning appeals from Samson77, were bad enough. I come here to relax, to enjoy myself – not to be played the fool. But this whole thing has gone too far. In the past five days I have suffered dozens ofcrude PM’s from CCI Club lackeys, and over 100 e-mails in an obviously organized attack from the same crowd.

I suppose that I could tolerate the posts and the PM’s, but I share my e-mail account with my wife – a good and decent woman who finds the obscenities, the threats of bodily harm, and the rudeness to be not to her liking – so much so that it has brought her to tears.

This is uncalled for. This is intolerable. This is a disgrace.

I have stepped on the toes of a vicious and humorless bunch of mean spirited people – so be it – but I will not have my wife upset and crying over this journal.

    In short – you win.

  3. Dude, it was awesome...Will Smith was driven' this way cool AUDI sportscar trying to save the world from being overrun by well-intentioned robots bent on saving humanity from overrunning the limits to what we can sustainably support. There was lots of bad stuff in there, too; you know, end of life as we know it and all. Well, it is going to be pretty severe, I guess.

Hell, I just got back from my other family's farm...they were telling of guys commuting 95 miles a day each way to Indianapolis to construction jobs driving government tax rebate trucks using diesel at 20 miles to the gallon. No talk of moving to Indy for the job, just burn the fuel, what the the hell. Now, they got city water all the way out into the country so little three-home plots are being sold at $20,000 per and people are making money hand over fist...Of course they're buying government subsidized farm trucks this year and next for the $25,000 tax write-off. The local billionaire, Gerry Forsythe, owns about 6 or 8 different energy companies (you could look it up) two car dealerships here locally about 12,000 acres of farm-land. Not to mention the golf course he had my sister's family build him for his estate here. Do you think this guy is worried about stepping on a few toes? Hell, he's even stepped all over mine.

Don't know about you tampa but it's enough to turn bullets into tears, or rain. A few of us went out this afternoon before watching the movie and lit up a little over a hundred rounds to start getting the kids their hand gun training.

So, maybe don't let the flower of your heart cry over the buffoonery of some of these passersby, because we are all going that way one day. Cheer up, its a new year. I lost a total of less than $300 in 2004 trading the futures, certainly I'd be booed as a loser by this crowd. But just maybe we'll got the collar on some good discipline this year and break above water. That's what I'm trading for anyway.

    EIGHT ELEMENTS OF A CULT

    1) A centralized form of leadership that rules with unquestioned authority.

Woodie, Gio, and a very few old guard moderators that have made the grade. Newer mods, outside the inner circle, come and go, it seems.

    2) A body of convictions, beliefs, and practices set forth boldly as "the truth".

The CCI and nothing but the CCI, as defined by Woodie.

    3) A compelling presentation of the group vision to prospects that is inviting and challenging.

Welcome Newbie to our wonderful room of traders helping traders (with a few restrictions you will learn about later). Everyone here is a winner, no losing trades in this room, unlike ALL the other rooms where they are ALL losers. You WILL love it here (or get kicked out).

    4) A series of manipulative socializing sessions to instill psychological dependence on the group.

Can you say National CCI Conference - a cross between a Southern Baptist prayer meeting and an Amway Convention.

    5) A definable process of group dynamics used to unethically control and manipulate members.

Well, fudging trades after the fact seem to work just fine.

    6) A history of abuses of authority by group leaders freely using deception and fear tactics.

Too many to list - although legal threats and hate mail come to mind.

    7) A founding leader who is self-appointed, dogmatic, messianic, not accountable, and has charisma.

Hmmm - now who could that be?

    8) A history of psychological and spiritual abuses of group members that destroy lives.

Oh Tampa, ex-member, I hope you and your wife can survive the abuse.

  9. But if you actually think about it Mark ...

In the earlier threads I found that was the one accusation that was hard to defend the group against. Most of the misinformed accusations can be refuted one at a time but its hard to deal with:

    - its a cult ... once you look up the definitions of a cult
    - all those people leave ... by the time I went I was an older hand than most moderators
    - woodie keeps banning people ... and it does seem that the reasons have more and more to do with opinions that diverge from the "group truths" and less to do with training or disruption
    - earl and his seeming attachment to the e-signal nipple
    - why, when woodie said "you must post the entry or don't post the exit" do so many complain that gio never posts entries but has magnificent exits.

But lets stay off the truth and get back to tampas exquisite musings.

PS. Tampa, if you ever get the urge to win consistently I could be ur guru :D  :D .... nahhh ... best we don't go down that path.
