i had to laugh when i was reading this thread earlier today and authoring my response. i was tempted to deride tampa for his suffering the "riggers" of trading. "riggers"? i imagined some muscled guys clad in striped shirts handling dangerous hardware. it would appear that he retracted his post, and amended the typo.

    but i didn't deride him.
substance is key; and that's what matters, after all.

Tampa - you must have a boring life to set up web site to bash others. Woodies CCI has helped many and it is a FREE room ! There are many traders in the room who will help answer questions, technical problems, chart questions etc. They do this as a way of "traders helping traders" . I have seen many posts in room where they have said how this room has helped them in trading. The moderators are traders who volunteer there time and energy to help others. All the personalities are different and you can learn something new from each one of them. They do not give calls, they might give a certain signal. You are especially critical of gio (maybe you can't handle a smart woman !) There are many in room whom she has helped - I personally have observed there posts in room. By Woodie having this room he has brought together some wonderful people - there are many in his room. One of the reasons he has 700+ people in room everyday is because he does not tolerate people like you !

  5. tho boss mentioned a few pages back. Now, that was a fine trade, i thought. I had seen those setupsa few times thinking to trade the cross of the zero trade line only to get my nose pushed right down in it. I was rithinking that trade again some more this evening and it is a good contiunuation type trade that can supply you with several handfuls of cash.

As many variations there are of the taxonomy of trade types that one type out can be the basis for preserving one's dignity amidst splashing shamoos, batman reversals , hooks and whatever else has been identified.

Princess you may want to think we jerk-types yet haven't found that philosopher's balance of wisdom to mentor the newbie while preserving what it is good about the tried and true ways of chat room etiguette. Some one has to draw a line and defines what they see. It is only by the constant observation and comparison of what appears to be real that a group of people have a chance of reaching a consensus about what seems to be real.

Anyway, that plateau trade looks to be and 'feels' safe to me.

Let's see, Woodie's the King, Gio's the Queen, and now we have the Princess. Hopefully the princess is younger than the queen, but you never can tell these days.

Ladies, you are all missing the big picture here. This entire blowup started because Tampa/Big Cheese simply pointed out in a single humorous line a fact known by all: that Gio refuses to give either her entry trade in real time, or her hard stop for that entry, and therefore never has to admit that she has a losing trade. That is it!

All this defending of poor Gio, the helpful mentor to many, is really irrelevant to the question: why does Gio refuse to give her entry signals, but seems to have no problem listing her endless profitable exit signals, with endless runners as well?

No other trader, no other newbie, and no other moderator in Woodies CCI chat room is allowed to pull this. And the reason is obvious. If you only give your entry well after the trade has become profitable, you are simply NOT credible. That is exactly what Woodie, and all the other moderators will tell you. Yet Gio is the exception. WHY, WHY, OH WHY IS THIS?

Everything begins and ends here. All Gio would have to do is list her entry and stop for her daily swing trade, IN REAL TIME, and the bashing of poor Gio would end. You see, us full-time traders, who have been in this business for more than a few years, KNOW what she is claiming is simply not credible. And yet newbies, desparate to find a winning strategy after years of losing, suck it all up on hope and faith.

A good teacher teaches by example. Gio's example is unrealistic and phony. You need to know how to lose and manage a losing trade before you can win. This is the danger of Gio's teaching. She is so concerned about her own reputation as super-woman trader, than she can not bring her self to admit she ever has a loser. That makes her an incomplete and dangerous teacher.

And by the way, her personal manner of treating her students like they were all in first grade is not the real problem. Stephen Hawking doesn't have the most professional delivery either, but he has earned his stripes with solid professional work, and is worth listening to despite the delivery. Gio is no Stephen Hawking.

Haven't visited this thread lately and was surprised to see it is still generating so much fireworks.

I agree with Shamu. Woodie has a number of good traders who take the time to post when they enter and exit. I come and go from the room but can attest that Angela definitely falls into this camp.

I have never seen Gio post entries and I have heard her blatantly (with lots of attitude) say she will not post entries. Why post exits then? Sounds like a big ego stroke (obviously with no downside) which makes me seriously doubt her credibility and integrity. I also saw her get testy with someone from the UK who was simply praising Rover for his straight up way of posting trades. Doesn't take a wizard to see that this woman has some issues...

    shamu,

You have eloquently encapsulated the issue of the Connecticut lady.

Isn't it strange that those who leap to the defence of Woodies room ignore the pure logic of the criticisms. They all exhibit the desperation of newbie traders seeking some sort of 'holy grail' after years of losing trades. By concentrating on the hope of cci , they ignore the moral bankruptcy of the room.

Even Woodie boasts of having found the 'grail' with cci but is still looking for the 'holy'. Is he really wishing to be sanctified?

It is the fact that Woodie now concentrates on the desperation of newbies that has led many of his former supporters (like me) to question his motives. Whether he personally benefits from the numbers of desperate newbies drawn to the room like moths around a flame, I do not know. But the opportunity for abuse has not been lost on some others.

Hence the blatant promotion of certain charting packages and frontends. The zeal with which this has undertaken leads many to assume that commission payments have changed hands.

The real benefit of the room was a few years ago when Woodie used to call his entries and exits in real time and everyone could follow the progress of a live trade - whether profitable or unprofitable.

Today it is just a forum for zealots where questioning or criticism is disallowed and punished by banishment. Hence the growth of forums like this.

  9. Tampa and anyone else who might know.

I have never been a member of Woodie's CCI room but I have thought about joining. Would anyone know if Woodie has ever confirmed or denied these allegations that he gets 'kickbacks' (i.e. commissions) from E-Signal and/or HotComm. ?

Any and all comments would be helpful to me in making my decision.

    Cheers.

  10. The number of people in the room took a big jump up after the last thread attempting to bash it and I'll bet this thread will add a few more. Woody should be glad when these things get started. I think most people are smart enough to check things out for themselves which is the only way to decide anything when you get right down to it.
