Hmmm..... Tampa, You are one funny dude. But you need to ask for a little more I think. You have to make a decent counter offer. Like all blue M&Ms in your dressing room at HotComm. A hot stone massage on alternate Tuesdays. Use of the weekend house in Vail. Use of the company limo. Weekly alimony in the sum of........... (Oops....that was my divorce settlement!)
Its true Gio doesnt post any losers at least not that I remember and I dont know how many contracts she trades but I have seen a lot of her calls, entries and exits and all I can say is I wish I had taken all of them.
The truth be known, itâs lonely out here without a chat room to keep me company. And I am the poorer for having severed ties to Woodieâs CCI Club. God knows the price was right, and one could do OK fading some of the calls made in the room. A lot of traders need the positive reinforcement and comrades found there â I didnât realize that I was one of them. The list of lost benefits is long, and tear stained. Take as an example that I was ousted only five days into my recent HotCom renewal â and that renewal was a Christmas gift.(true) The loss of the respect of Samson77 who lives in Toronto â I was thinking of asking him to sponsor me, as I wanted to move to Canada to escape the Bush administrationâs ravaging of this nation.(not far from the truth) Or the fact that my site and blog ( www.cciblog.com ) was specifically aimed at Woodieâs CCI Club members, and now I have no way of promoting it there. (very true) Iâve lost 700+ close personal friends â and that has crushed me. (pure bullshit) I had counted on speaking at the next CCI National Conference â now I am denied the pleasure of appearing before perhaps the hippest gathering ever assembled.(fibs) And that dear sweet woman from Connecticut now thinks ill of me â for that my heart is heavy, and I am filled with shame.(now Iâm really pulling your chain) Of course I am not the only trader who must face the daily rigors of the market alone, without guidance, or the security to be found in a room. I will probably go bust in a short time, and I have no one to blame but myself. If only I had not noticed the things I noticed â if only I had not pointed them out. Oh fudgeâ¦
You really have to take those chatroom posted entries and exits with a grain of salt . The temptation to cheat is going to be too much for most people . They should require entry/exit trade posters to use the chat room trade poster feature in their order entry front end . It would really be interesting to see the REAL entry, exits and # of contracts
I was in a hotcomm chatrrom and asked the owner to do just that. he said 'great idea, will do that from now on'. The platform stayed up for half a day, never to be seen again - I guess it turns students away when you see the guru down several hundred dollars.
Babe, you are probably right - I've had the same suspicions. But I fail to see the harm. If I'm in a room, and so-and-so posts a trade, I look at my charts to see what I missed. One of two things happens - I see what I missed, and learn something - or I don't see anything, mutter that so-and-so is crazy, and move on. If some more soul needs to post bogus trades in order to feel better about himself - so be it.
i wouldn't take this thread as a referendum on woodie's room so much as an indulgent, seductive plea for attention on tampa's part to gather an audience. and of course, a venue for embittered day traders who may not have yet found their niche. no harm there, and it's fair enough. obviously the seduction worked. i will submit into evidence the fact that here i am posting to this thread. tampa/big_cheese is an exquisite humourist. and i have said as much publicly. but let us call a spade a spade, shall we? i believe that it is most unfair--ugly, small and spiteful, in fact--to take aim at those who are not media professionals yet persevere nonetheless toward helping others such as myself. i consider myself an expert on the willingness of certain individuals (e.g. woodie and gio--to be specific) to help others. you see, i have been a long-time recipient of their help. and they have dragged me, kicking and screaming, toward disciplined trading. gio herself has spent a great deal of time and effort helping me. you can only imagine my gratitude. as far as i can see, and given what i read on these threads, it's not often that one receives such help--for free no less. so this attracts bashing? well, go figure. gio, woodie, barbara, gb...so many others have reached out to me to help me along my way. so what? what is the matter with all of you anyway?! why aren't you just trading your own methods?! hell, use moving averages, stochastics, tea leaves, cci, magic 8 ball, jet contrails over manhattan, london paris, venice, a oijah board, whatever. use whatever method you wish. the method doesn't matter. the discipline does matter. and so does the mentoring. as for posting trades, well, the trades i post are for my own benefit. but i post all of my trades--losers and winners. again, i post losers--all of them. i take great care to post my trade entries in real time and with as much detail as i can include. i type each detail. you cannot declair that losing trades are never posted in woodie's room unless you are also prepared to admit that you are unable to read. if literacy is an issue, you may contact me via pm as i volunteer with the NY Public Library adult literacy program. i can help you to find the right program on a confidential basis. illiteracy among adults is an insidious problem against which i work very hard, and toward which i devote a great deal of time. angela
ROFL! As funny as Tampa is, the dullards that just don't get it are even better. But Angela stepping forward to "declair" her commitment to adult literacy could be the topper.
