No Hacking...

The "blog" was intended as a "showcase" for my thoughts/opinions - kind of like what I do here.

But...

While most of the comments were VERY GOOD, some were off the deep end, as an example, saying things that simply were not true. It is not possible to remove individual comments, only to delete the entire post. Am I happy about this? NO, but

I can block new comments, and will do so. As often happens here, some folks go too far, or just go off in another direction.

So that's what happened, and why...

 

Well their only problem is that I believe most of what was on your site is also here on ET. Also blogs are meant for personal views regardless of whether some are more refined than others.

I've read your stuff and you seem like a decent person. I really hope they didn't somehow put the screws to you and if they did, it basically illuminates what sort of people they are. Pretty distasteful the week of Christmas, but maybe the person who started all this will have learned a lesson.... although probably not!

The popular ET Journal Keeper, and proprietor of The CCI Blog, tampa, has been given the boot fromWoodie’s CCi Club. In a related item, the well known low life, Mister Subliminal pounced on the ousted tampa’s misfortune by contacting HotCom asking to have access to the booted bloger’s unused time

When asked to comment, Baron, owner and operator of EliteTrader was quoted as saying: “I’ve been trying to run the bum out of hear for years.”. It was unclear if the message board giant was referring to Subliminal or tampa.

 

Tampa you've really got woodie on edge now.

Some poor innocent newbie typed in http://www.cciblog.com your web page, in woodies room this afternoon - he was asking about one of the cci setups you have listed - and woodie immediately deletes the entire chatroom text from midnight to 14:17 est today. A total whiteout of the chat, based on the FEAR of your webpage. Wow!

"Do not post that again", woodies warns this newbie.

When you get banned from woodies cci club - the very mention of your most useful CCI web page (not your blog) is cause for immediate panic and censorship.

Well, at least the two gio bad YM calls, including a right one she first announced 2 hours after the fact today, have also been erased.

This humble lowlife wants to know how it is possible that your missus is capable of sniffing out your well-hidden trading statements, yet till now has not stumbled upon your gift-wrapped (poor excuse for a present) toilet brush?

I have always been skeptical of this part of the Terms of use...

Do you know what a dilemma is? I’ll tell you what a dilemma is – it’s what I am going through tonight.

It all started last Friday when a well known mid-week moderator (yes, that one) waltzed in to the room. Her loyal minions began tugging at her hem, and directed her to this “blog”, so that she might be enraged at what had been said – a post that began: Just once, just one time, I would like to hear Gio say “Oh fudge, I was just stopped out for a loss…” An OBVIOUSLY teasing did at her weekly gig in the room.

Madam was not amused – I was. Low and behold Sir Jimsy informs me that the “moderators” want ALL mention of ANYONE in the room removed from my blog. I declined. The soap opera escalated.

Sunday night I was unceremoniously booted. I was not amused. And the soap opera escalated. By now the “blog” is jumping. There were some really clever and funny posts, some very insightful posts, and some tasteless posts. Madam evokes genuine emotion.

Monday I’m talking to one of the room’s good guys. His feelings are hurt because he has been dragged in to the mess, and things said that are not true. He asks, not demands, but asks if I can do something. He’s a good and decent man, but I’ve got a problem – I cannot remove individual comments – it’s the entire post or nuttin”. He also pleads Woodie’s case, and how he doesn’t need this crap – like I do?

I can’t deny that many of the comments are irresponsible – but remember my dilemma – it’s all or nothing. I like the guy I’m talking to – he’s done a lot of good in the room, and done SEVERAL favors for me. I said I would do as he asked- politely asked. You would have done the same.

A few hours later, a few hours after I cleaned up the blog, a member innocently mentions my blog. He is slapped about the ears, and unable to edit out his mention, ALL of the day’s text up to and including the mention is deleted.

This is bullshit – it’s all bullshit.

I have a couple of friends in the room – not many – but a couple. I have a lot of people there who have disappointed me, and more than a handful who sicken me. As a rule, I never read the text scroll, and only listen in the morning a few days a week. Being booted only hampers my ability to gather material to amuse and delight you with.

I really don’t like the dictatorial attitudes. I really don’t like the two-faced dealings that are so common. And of course, I don’t like being told to dance or get out.

On the other hand, I do not want to preside over a trash and bash forum. Frankly, a lot of you guys only have personal axes to grind, and it gets old real quick.

Apparently the powers to be have relented, and allowed me back in – but presumably only so long as I remain silent – so long as I behave myself.

My Hot Com subscription ran out ten days ago – I renewed for one reason and one reason alone. When I came up with the idea for the site, it was specifically aimed at a very select and finite audience – you. The only way to let you know about it was to shamelessly post in the room. My plan worked. I got good response, but nothing like the response since madam threw her hissy fit.

So now what do I do? If I toe the line, sit here and eat crow, they’ll probably let me stay in a room I rarely use, but object to being booted from. If I resume sticking a fork in the Golden Geese of the room, I will be dumped yet again, and that will annoy me – remember I am easily annoyed. If I open up the blog to comments – and that was the whole idea to start with – and this drama continues, the site and blog will die within a week or two. And I will have broken my word to the guy who asked so nice.

All of this, and Christmas to.

The whole thing has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I cringe when I see the minions tugging at Madam’s hem: “Oh Madam, oh Madam, acknowledge me!”. I cringe when I see the two-faced scum who so loved the blog until they found out that they were not supposed to do so. And I bristle at the heavy-handed way the room is run.

In all honesty, I pride myself in being my own man – even when there is a price to pay for it. Since the room has so soured me, I must leave on my own. And shall do so tonight. I will open this post up for comment, and decide what to do after I see the results.

And now you know the situation.

 

I log in h/c room 1 day and found it well run but in authority manner, it was not a place to talk joke or making aside comment after all there is lesson to learn, technique to demo. And any TA question could be easily answer by searching for appropriate key words so what I am in room for, I don't know and I haven't been back since.

 

it'S 3:00am in the morning and no-life beanz has nothing nothing to do but to offer my 2 sents. tampa, u know I love you..ahh.. I meant your humour and your writings but I think you need to subscribe to your own belief here.

I know that you are proud of your individuality and you express things in your own creative manner. So when you decided to 'bite the hand that feeds you'. I say this because you are (at least claiming) learning from Woodie's room. It is free. It is run by volunteers. So if you want to participate, they say you need to obey their rules. I think that is more or less how the world works. Like the fact that Mr. sub 'trashes' your thread, you tell him where to go.

You enjoy your freedom of expression and others enjoy theirs. You 'trash' them, they tell you to leave. You want back in, do what they want. If you enjoy being your own man more than anything else, DON'T.

We all want our cake and eat it too but, in this case, the cake belongs to someone else and the person will only give it to whatever he/she want.

Sorry, I got serious but you started this, hehe
