Confessions of a CCI Club member…

It was just about a year ago that I first dropped in. I had heard about Woodie in the past – and it all seemed to be very positive. So why not give it a try – after all, I had chased every other rainbow known to man.

I stuck around for three months, and got nothing from it. I mean, they seemed like nice people and all that – well, most of them – but I wasn’t impressed. So when the HotCom thing lapsed, I went away. There were no hard feelings. It just wasn’t for me – know what I mean?

By then I had heard about this guy named Mohan. Sweet Jesus – he was really on to something. Problem is that he only traded the ES, and when the range dried up, so did Mohan’s fantastic system.

So now what do I do? Well, maybe I should take another look at Woodie – why not, what could it hurt? He seemed like a nice old man. He wasn’t selling anything, and some people actually appeared to understand what he was preaching.

The room is a strange mix of people. For the most part they were a helpful and giving lot. But there was clearly an “in crowd” – a clique. And to be honest, it annoyed me. Some of the personalities rubbed me the wrong way, but I liked Woodie – flaws and all.

Over time, Woodie began to moderate less and less, and the new people were distracting, and confusing. They each had there own way of doing things, and none were doing it exactly like the Woodster.

But slowly – very slowly – it started to make sense. I also began to catch on to what some of thee other people were doing. The learning curve was steep – and still is. New folks come here thinking that Woodie’s CCI is a system. It’s not. It’s a method – and there’s a big difference. As I caught on to that distinction, things began to become even more clear.

I admit to taking some pretty nasty hits. They all came from trying to emulate some other member’s style. It’s not like they were doing something that didn’t work. It was a case of the charts they were using just didn’t “speak to me”.

I am a notoriously slow learner, so after almost a year I am little more than a novice. And that’s OK. It’s OK because I truly believe that progress is being made. You see, I’m still here. I haven’t strayed.

Yes, I still get annoyed with some of the people – including Woodie sometimes. I am tempted to name names, and cite particulars – but I won’t. I’ll abide by the rules – Positive attitudes, Positive posts. (Grrrrrrrrr)

I owe a lot to this room, and while I will never be part of the in crowd, I have a certain affection for the place. I hate labels, and I hate being thought of as a “joiner” – if you know what I mean. But I don’t mind being thought of as a member of Woodie’s CCI Club.

  3. Dear, oh dear. I don't know where you got that impression from?

A price and indicator only show the past and one has to focus for the full 100% on the "here and now".

Remember you are a day-trader and most daytraders make things FAR too difficult.

You don't need stinking prices, you don't need stinking volume, you don't need stinking indicators! No fancy stinking expensive charting packages are needed!

    It will only distract you!

All you need is the here and now! The curent status of the trade is what you need to know, nothing else (except what time it is,need to know when it is yum yum time (lunch) and when playtime is about over (trading is fun!).

Just focus on the rate the trade is going in favour or against you once in the trade! And then adjust the position size my dear! Trading fixed sized lots is for sissies and losers only!

( Although I have a chart with a few arrows up to make life a little bit easier I can make money without it too. )

Trading has become like the emperors clothes but I am sure you know that story.

Once you learn to trade in that way your broker will love you!

You'll be amazed at the rate that your account balance moves!

OK lecture is over, that's all I am prepared to reveal about our system, good trading to ya all,

    Maria RockAfella (daughter of bali_survivor)

PS don't PM me about what our website is, how much it cost to teach etc. This is family secret only stuff.

  4. I looked through that journal url you posted...nowhere did I see the mistake of letting one's significant other brandish a firearm and then shoot two monitors necessitating a bakesale by the faithful to get you going for your gig at Woodie's room.

  5. Hello Tampa,
Thank you for such an entertaining discourse on trading. You are toooo much .....LOL. It's been said that humor is the best medicine, well, I have had a healthy dose of medicine. I tend to take things too seriously at times so when I run across a thread like this one I very much appreciate it. Thank you again from the great state of Nova Scotia...ahhh...err... make that province.

    Warmest regards,

    Tim

I get the distinct impression that you are not really a fan of this "journal". However, your frequent posts here leads one to conclude that what you lack in good taste is MORE than made up in time on your hands.

Sir, may I assume that you are attempting to surpass this author in absurdity?

  8. Well, that was not probably the smartest of Woodie's decisions as kiwi did contribute a lot to the Woodie's cause, if I may say so, but at least he does not sound like a loser. Differences are part of life, if you cannot accept it then you cannot be successful.

That's the message that you should get in the first place...

Most definitely not! How do you dare to think that!

My late father came up with this getPoorQuickly system after he discovered that 99.99% of all getQuickRich and TrustMeIknowWhatIamDoing systems did not work.

Being openminded as he was he quickly appraised the value of his getPoorQuickly system and put it in production.

Position sizing my dear, position sizing!

As mentioned before: It works wonders and we are doing 50% on margin per week.

    Yours etc. etc.

When a person is genuine then you get a decent answer when you ask an question. When they are full of BS then they have 1001 excuses of not giving an answer.

When dad asked a question of Kiwi, Fitzy, GB007 he always got a solid answer and they were helpful.

As they say: Actions speak louder than words.

edit: We still have notes from Hotcom on how woodie asked Kiwi to program something and Kiwi turning it out in a short time. Dad lived a long time in Asia and always expected this development with woodie (after studying his character). He said that it is not the way how friends do treat each other.
