People make all kinds of bad decisions. We have people taking animal dewormer for Covid too. I don’t get it but some people are dumb.

  4. Then what are we paying these dopes to see? I have seen timeline maps showing the Taliban taking large swaths of territory since April. I've also heard many a Vet say that anyone making an honest assessment of what was really going on at the ground level knew this plan of ours would fail the moment we left. The command, the government, lost in their own bullshit missed it because they never bothered to look at the reality of the situation. You really want to know how a war effort is going, ask an NCO, not some fucktard General who is bootlicking some political hack to keep his cushy REMF job.

Ok, I read the article and did not see the reference to Taliban taking the country in less than a month.

I did find a quote saying taliban would control the country “this year or next”.

  7. So, I am watching Hannity. That's right - you heard me. Get over it.

Tom Cotton was on and says that he was at a classified hearing today where the administration testified that their best estimate of the number of Americans behind enemy lines is 4,100.

Then he goes on to say that Blinken stated in public two hours later that the number was 1,500.

I understood H4M to mean that the author was correct with respect to "this year" etc. And that H4M gave his own personal opinion of "less than a month."

So, I took it to mean that H4M was letting you know that he himself did foresee what happened; in response to your statement: "It is true no one foresaw this 11 day collapse scenario. Not in the military or the state department or in the media or our allies. No one."

    Just my opinion.

  9. "The U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan warned Americans trapped in the country not to travel to the Kabul airport due to security threats, and urged those at specific airport gates to get out immediately, in a startling statement early Thursday.

"Because of security threats outside the gates of Kabul airport, we are advising U.S. citizens to avoid traveling to the airport and to avoid airport gates at this time unless you receive individual instructions from a U.S. government representative to do so," the statement from the embassy read."

Nope. I don't believe the Americans on some of this. Or at least not immediately without more information.

The reality is that there is a risk that the Aghans will mob the airport and possibly even turn against Americans in a desperate, ugly, ugly mob scene as the last planes leave and they stop processing people.

One way to deal with that is to keep cranking up the alarms about Isis and Taliban threats at the airport in order to reduce the number of people there. I am sure that there are real threats from bad people there- this is after all AFG- which will give them cover stories later BUT don't let them fool ya. They are doing crowd control to avoid a dangerous mob scene with ugly optics as they try to implement the Bug-Out Biden Plan.
