They went down a huge flow chart of decisions and made the wrong decision at each box like Joe is prone to do for the last 40 years.

One killed in Kabul firefight as Taliban warn of 'consequences' if US extends evacuation

The Taliban warned on Monday there would be "consequences" if the United States and its allies extend their presence in Afghanistan beyond next week, as chaos continued to overwhelm Kabul airport.

"If the US or UK were to seek additional time to continue evacuations -- the answer is no. Or there would be consequences," Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen told Sky News on Monday.

Staying beyond the agreed deadline would be "extending occupation", he added.

    Biden made that date
He had months to get Americans into Kabul. To get visas out in time. To start moving people out earlier.

  9. ....because America's back y'all.

“In London ministers and their advisers watched with incredulity,” the Sunday Times reported. “One minister said the president ‘looked gaga’. An aide described the press conference as ‘completely mad’ and the president as ‘doolally’. Such thoughts are normally never whispered in Whitehall, let alone briefed.”

  10. Y'all may recall that before I put UsualTard on ignore for a couple weeks for spewing excessive tripe about how great the evacuation was going and calling American soldiers Taliban I told him we could check back on that.

Looks like it is going smoother for him in New Jersey than in Kabul. Funny how that can happen.

US Embassy staff face ‘brutal experience’ en route to Kabul airport

Staff at the US Embassy in Kabul are “deeply disheartened” by the botched evacuation efforts in Afghanistan — with at least one saying they’d rather “die under the Taliban’s bullet” than be crushed to death at the airport, according to a report.

The staffers accused the US of betrayal after they were advised to head to the airport — but instead suffered a “brutal experience” without protection, according to a diplomatic cable obtained by NBC News.

They complained to the State Department about being attacked and spat on by Taliban fighters at checkpoints near the airport and also targeted by criminals, NBC said.

Others said they almost lost their children in the stampede to flee the Taliban’s brutal rule, while some were hospitalized after collapsing in a crush of people. Others said they had collapsed on the road because of heat exhaustion, NBC said.
