  2. I agree but we are not trying to occupy Central America just help out.... it is a lose-lose if we stay in Afghanistan.

Remember the plan of all 4 presidents over past 20 years was for local army to defend and protect its people and they folded like France in WWII. At that point it was clear we had to get out because they were relying on us to be the big military brother to fight and die for them while they enjoyed all the benefits.

I am not saying we should not help out but Taliban want to come in and destroy the country and it is a foregone conclusion now. Not sure we can set up a friendly relationship with them in order to give humanitarian aid because they clearly just want to still be the terrorist like people they always were. It would be nice if China and Russia would join us in humanitarian pressure and sanctions but China and Russia are not better and they simply want to rush in and kiss some taliban ass so they can mine and rape the country for natural resources.

It is truyl a shit show all around and in the two scenerios where we try to occupy the country with our military or pull out, pulling out is just the lesser of two evils even if how we pulled out was a shit show.

Not even sure how this got derailed into Central America. Trying to convince cons on Afghanistan is an exercise in futility, they just toe the line. You can do a search w/their name and Afghanistan as the topic and they'd be 100% on board w/pulling out and would have done a 180 on the topic because "Biden man bad". Before you waste your time just learn who you're dealing with.

No. You’re looking to be political. Yes, I am posting the evac numbers and I was able to accurately estimate the total evacs because... and try to stay with me here... it was an EVACUATION OPERATION.

So, while you and Captain Fucktard are busy talking about Jimmy Carter this and Joe Biden that, in the real world there was an actual military operation happening where people were paying attention to how it was going because if it failed there would enormous consequences.

I get this escapes you because you’re here to exaggerate and blowhard phony patriotism for political reasons. And you and your right wing group try to impress one another by our doing each other with your offensive commentary to the point your group is now using the term “woke military” which is offensive to the people who are actually on the ground you pretend to support. You support right wing-ism, you don’t care how these things go you just want to find a way to criticize democrats and play your stupid game of having the most outrageous commentary in your group. The lot of you have lost your way, if you ever even had a way.

The lead up to the withdrawal was a clusterfuck. If you go back to when that was happening you’ll find I posted the various reasons for this. And you’re welcome to check my analysis on that for any “political” bias.

Because the withdrawal went fubar, the mission morphed from a withdrawal to an evacuation mission. - Do you disagree with this?

Try to remember we had to rush in thousands of military members because the mission changed and became extremely dangerous.

The evacuation mission was a success. One- hundred and twenty-thousand evacuated in total with 11 days with the services having their back against the wall.

How we got our back against the wall is a whole different story but the failure of the withdrawal doesn’t mean the evacuation was a failure too. Obviously, a major security failure occurred but to the military services credit, the mission continued. That’s tough stuff.

Over 5000, more like 6000, total service members served in Operation Pineapple and they should not have their mission demeaned or regarded as a failure. It was not. As a matter of fact they arguably exceeded probable evacuation totals.

It was originally a withdrawl mission meant to take place over many months or years. There's video of all of them saying that, Blinken, Baiden, etc..
It turned into a hair-on-fire evacuation due to the unprecedented incompetence of those same people. You can try to it spin as something other than that, but that doesn't change the facts.
Meet the Press, CNN, CBS, pick any news outlet you want. They all said this was a disaster that didn't have to happen. I'm actually amazed at some of the criticism from CNN.
