Look at the US casualty numbers for the last three years, its very very low, there was zero need to make Afghanistan a worse warzone again. Taliban and ISIS will strike a deal and then what US is gonna do? There are zero options now.
Let's be clear, Trump wasn't competent, his withdrawal date was 3 months earlier - there should not have been a withdrawal at all for another 3-4 years. This is why no US President tried to play the isolationist game since Carter, didn't work well for Carter and now Biden.
Nope. Hunter's Daddy is a fuckup. Always has been. You're just making excuses for him. Everything is happening exactly as they planned it to happen. If the top brass were in disagreement with The Fuck Up, they would've already resigned. THEY AGREE WITH ALL OF THIS.
Its a bit late for backseat driving but I will just say that at this point there should be NO distinction between ISIS and the Taliban for purposes of military planning. The next tier of distinction to drop will be between Afghan civilians, ISIS and the Taliban. Several bombings now another. Plenty of justification to put 4x AC-130s in orbit and establish a new perimeter about 1 mile radius around the airport regardless of what is there currently. Time to show some metal, literally. Park all geosynchronous and super-synchronous assets directly over Afghanistan and get to work or there is going to be some kind of revolt in this country.
Has Milley come out and apologized to the nation for working hand-in-hand with Hunter's Daddy yet, like he did with Trump?
You are completely ignoring that Trump struck the deal with Taliban, if Biden backed out, he would have been called a war monger who wants 'forever wars'. Biden thought he can continue Trump's policy and score some political points, he got it terribly wrong.
Guess who had the final say in this. It wasn't lack of cleverness but excess stubbornness. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/17/us/politics/biden-afghanistan-withdrawal.html
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/13340183/obama-concerns-biden-underestimate-ability-things-up/ BARACK Obama voiced concerns about Joe Biden's presidential candidacy and warned allies not to underestimate his ability to "fuck things up", according to reports.
