    Fastpenny,

The UK kinetics box I purchased...http://www.uwkinetics.com/I_1027transitcase.htm... I doubt can be carried on... double check with ur airline tho. However the case is rugged enuough to be checked. Make sure u go with the wheels and foam options (also tip the hell outta the skycab). My only problem with it is I cant fit the stand in the same case. I think it would be a problem even with a deeper model case.

The monitor is surrounded by 2" foam every side so it can take a beating. It is comparable or even better to the packaging the monitor came with. Good luck!

  4. thanks hefty, i found the box(s) you mentioned. they are indeed very tough boxes, but boy, they are heavy.

i tried every store to look for a lighter box that can be carried on, and the one come close still have about 47-48" l+w+d which is 2-3" over sized for carry on luggages. may be i'll have to bring 20" lcad instead:(

Hello from Key West this time. I didn't lug the 24in monitor this trip. Before coming down here, I picked up a verizon air card. Reception has been great. In theory I could be trading on the boat while fishing the color change. I was getting 500 kbs down at sand key, about 5 miles from key west.

I had my doubts about whether or not the verizon wireless internet would be sufficient but its working just fine. Charts come up quickly even running my filter and other services.
