There's an oxymoron, giving advice but do not believe in anybody. :)

    Everyone trades when desperate.
You can be a full time trader and desperate. What do you do now, stop trading?

Everyone full time relies on trading for income and falls upon rough patches, tough times.
Ya gotta trade your way out of it to survive.

Most on ET think taking time off from trading means one is struggling to trade but I'm taking time off from trading to travel and enjoy the Aussie summer.

I just wanted some journal / book reading recommendations.

  4. I trade purely off of support and resistance on 15M, works perfectly fine in the crypto market.

I get that focusing on support and resistance works really well, especially in the crypto market. I trade on the 15M timeframe too, and it helps me stay on top of those quick moves. Do you use any other tools, or is it just pure price action for you?

It is better not to trade at the end of the year, the "thin" market can bring unexpected and bad surprises.

  7. Just price action. I have a way to catch breakouts in bull markets, it has been working amazingly, the fake ones do still hurt a little though, but either than that no not much else.

  8. The end of the year often has low liquidity, irregular price movements, and unpredictable volatility due to the "thin" market. It's better to sit it out, avoid unnecessary risks, and focus on planning for the next year.

Totally get that! Fake breakouts can sting but it sounds like you’ve got a solid strategy.

  10. Yes, simple but solid, couldn't be happier. As for the fake ones I gotta say it's my own impatience that does the most damage on those, even those can be managed well if one is patient, and content enough to settle for a little bit less profit.
