Earlier in my trading career i struggled mainly with when to trade. Since i could not define the setups exactly i often overtraded. If you can´t sleep like a baby with the trades on there is something wrong. I watch the market 24/5 via an alert to my mobile but i handle the trades like longer term. That is, cut losses short and let profits run. Yesterday i bought Faz at 7.44 (Financial bear etf) for 25% of my account.
