  2. <i>"Jeez, you're really giving the nay-sayers a carte-blanche with this one ... there's only one reason you would make this call ... "</i>

One good reason I can think of being it's impossible to be profitable every day. Too many traders fixate on every single day as if it's a critical event. In reality, each day is an equal 1/250th of each calendar year.

Keep the losses small and profits tall, Allen. Fridays get here soon enough for everyone.

  3. It never crossed my mind about the daily profitability. So far, I've had only one losing day and that was basically due to commission.

It's more a matter of so many skeptics--and me having to police this journal from the saboteurs--that drive that decision.

However, if those of you who are genuinely interested strongly feel that daily statements are an important part of the experiment (and I don't believe they are), then I will reconsider. Perhaps someone wants to start a poll?

  4. There is no pressure issue.

The focus of the Journal hasn't changed. It is a performance based project. It's not about my methods, setups, or state-of-mind. At the end of the week, I include a very brief comment that I think is relevant when reviewing the weekly performance.

If it doesn't increase your pressure then I vote for daily. As we all know every day is a different animal and it is interesting to compare your performance day by day as you see the daily price action.
Anyway, wish you luck with your endeavour, you'll need it.

  6. I don't think it's a big deal to post weekly, but some will be wondering if additions are being made to the account if they don't see each daily run.

  7. Very good point. I didn't think of that. Don't want to give the doubters more ammo, but then again they will question anything other than failure.

I don't mean disrespect but failure has 95% expectancy so there
is not much to question only rare events are usually questioned
and such is human nature /see Jesus case/ and your experiment
mind you -"experiment"/ is certainly one of them rare events should
it ever come to an end as desired.. I mean experiments can not
be based on faith,believes,etc..I think you will agree on that..
all the best with your progress..

Seems a sad fate when this is the truth to life in general.

    Allen,

If it does not take too much of your time and you do not mind, I would go with daily. Posting every trade like you did in the beginning was too time consuming, but a daily statement would be a great way to demonstrate this experiment.
