Well, I must say you're right to a certain extent. It does appear that neke's larger-than-life leverage would be a overkill were we trading in a normal trading environment. However, we're experiencing a unique moment in financial history--what Greenspan dubbed as "once in a 100 years" event. We may never see this kind of volatility again in our lifetime. So why not enjoy it to the hilt while it lasts, provided that your "gambling" is paying off?

  2. To short and naked , you wrote :

"Funny, you are under the false assumption that I trade equities? When did I say that I invest in stocks? All I said was that the only way to safely grow your capital is through compounding. "

    Where is your performance ?

" Will he blow up? Most definately. It's not a matter of hoping for it or wishing for it, it's an almost certain in the long term. The fact that he equity curve..."

You have a big mouth, do you have anything else ?

    "This is gambling. ..."

Do you have a performance you can show ? If not shut up.

There are already millions of people talking about finance, there is nothing different about that.

At least, in addition to his words the OP got something going on for himself. I would suggest you watch and learn.

Asking for performance like this is the first sign of a complete noob. Investors who know what they are doing ask about risk first and performance second. It's not high performance that counts, but how much you are able to max your yield while keeping risk as low as possible.

Oh, and my performance is not as impressive as neke's but I'll probably be around much longer than you and be posting to ET for many years to come, while your "guy990opl" account joins the many others in their eternal graveyard of trader silence. :)

  5. For now he does. The question is for how long. Watch and learn? Learn what? How to blow my account? If that's what you want, be my guest.

  6. Your words:
So according to you neke is gambling at the same time you think one should learn from him. You are full of it.

Oh and you say that investing is easy... another falsehood.

And no I'm not stupid enough to share my statements. But YTD, I'm up 22%. (You win! lol)

  7. Neke is a daytrader, but does that make him a gambler ? Time will tell, so far so good, I am impressed, but why come here and criticize him ?

If you criticize somone who shows a performance like the OP then you have to show yours. You you are NOT at the same level just because you can post something.

You were not asked to " share " personal accounts numbers, just to show your performance. Unless you do so, you have 0 credibility, so far your resume is 360 posts.

Does not matter what I say what you say or what he says...

no one cares about opinions, it is all about facts.

  8. Indeed, and I gave fact. I find it very interesting how you openly ignored my comments and chose not to respond. And now you are using the "credibility" argument as an exuse not to address the points I made... very weak!

Why the hell do I need to show performance in order to prove that a given strategy is untenable? This would be like saying that unless I didn't have 60 billion, I wouldn't be able to critize Buffet's purchase of GS, even if I could back up my argument with solid facts. So according to your logic, I'd be more credible the higher my percentage returns are?

Also, according to you the number of posts on the oh-so-credible ET site is what counts? This is too much... make it stop... LMAO.

  9. short and naked,

I ignored your comments and from now on I will casually ignore your posts. Having a higher performance does not make you more credible than Neke or me, but at least it gives you a degree of credibility, don't you think ?

I mentioned the 360 posts to point out that 360 posts or 3600 does not mean anything unless you can make money, can you ?

All you showed so far is the 360 posts, so just more talk and opinions.

The weak argument is yours. What are we talking about ? MONEY

Now if we talk about money what should be taken in account, opinions or facts ?

I am not from the Usa but here is something you might want to think about

    MONEY TALKS BS WALKS

I am going to stop and let other readers on ET decide who makes sense and who does not.

    Just to sum it up:

Neke shows a performance and it is very very very good

    I show a performance.

You criticize and pontificate about investing/trading, but you do not show anything more than your personal opinions.

I know you trade equities because you posted one of your amazing trades was it GM or Ford or something 3/4 weeks back. You actually got out which was a great thing to do as it would have cost a fortune. Just because you have failed does not mean other people will... Just because you can't run the 100m in under 10secs does not mean no one can.

"You, however, seem to have a ways to go. " I have no way to go, I work for a trading company arbing day in day out, making solid little bits of money 96 days out of 100... does that mean its the only way to go? NO. Do I enjoy taking the occaisional 60/40 trade when I get the chance, most definitely, will I put in my complete equity? No, and nor does Neke.

This is my last reply to you you stubborn baffoon, in life you have the people that wish others well and smile in other's achievement, and you have those that cringe inside as someone else's achievement merely highlights their own lack thereof. You my friend should get a life and and think about what will make you wake up in 20 years with a smile on your face.

To all the well wishers Gluck and to all those sour grapes claiming to be realists good luck finding a way to look in the mirror and smile.
