I disagree. Both Obama and Hilary should be saddened by this choice in their past. Everyone makes mistakes, and it is one that won't be repeated much longer.

Change the names of these streets because of what they represent: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Martin+Luther+King+Boulevard TOP DEFINITION Martin Luther King Boulevard A street in every major American city, commonly inhabited with large amounts of unemployed African Americans. In most cities among the top ten streets involved in gang shootings, drug busts, car thefts, and older white women and blacks of all ages, "gettin' dey neclaces jacked". The average age for school dropouts on MLK boulevard is approximately 13 years of age, and the average income of the inhabitants here varies greatly depending on when Miguel last was able to supply DuQuaan with the "goods." Many fried chicken restaurants are typically located here, the significance of which being the food's strong appeal to the native population.

Watch this and then tell me what side of the argument you're on. If we are free to burn our American flag in protest, then perhaps those opposed to the Confederate flag should just burn it. You can protest, you can argue, you can burn it of you like. What you shouldn't be able to do is tell someone they can't show it just because it offends you, regardless of what you think it represents. Like the man says in the video, "America is advanced citizenship" and most of America just ain't ready for it. Sadly, neither are our leaders.
So what if enough people wanted the Iranian flag to replace the Confederate flag outside government buildings? Remember, the Confederacy was an enemy of the Union whose values were at cross-purposes, and its flag symbolized those conflicting values.
You're going to have to accept the vagaries of public opinion, like it or not, for it to make sense. Theory alone won't do.
