The place for the flag is in museums, and the functional equivalents of museums. Movies and history books would be too far as well.
Very wise words. People can speak what they want, and others can speak that they don't like it. The problem becomes when one party is able to influence the topic to a course of action, and gets one side's rights trampled on. A boycott, a complaint, bringing someone's name up to their company, etc. All of this goes beyond the right to complain, if you will, and brings action about.
Oh, so you want freedom of speech to be impotent, otherwise it doesn't work? People should say what they want just as long as nothing ever changes? Breathtaking.
No I don't see the difference because that's not the argument I'm making. I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of saying that violence in movies and music don't have any impact on behavior and then saying that a god damn statue does.
If anything then this site attracts people with plenty of time at their hands like moths are attracted to light. 20k posts? Ave Maria are you even having time to eat your 3 meals grandpa?
No you are wrong. More than half. Democrats are in power and the world is a little safer from crazy militarized armed gringos wanting to shoot everyone in the world. Thank God you guys have voted for an intelligent black man who understands how to focus his energies on domestic issues. How is your health care or Obama plan coming along?
