Who thinks smartphones or tablets will replace laptops to a large extent? Also feasability of smartphones docking into low cost tablet shells?
When not at the desktop I live on a droid x. Pocket computer always with me and remote access to the desktop. I do have an ipad which is great, but the droid is the main usage.
Smartphone's are nice. The tablet has the same hardware in it, i think alot of people are just using them to surf, social media/email, and play angry birds... combining the two would be very convenient.
I take that back, if the tablets are to be used as low cost laptops people will still want to be able to use their phone and their tablet at the same time. With the explosion in sales for these, the mobile OS's will soon see apps similar to those found in Windows, Linux, and MacOS meant to be used mainly when the tablets are docked.
