TA - same on different timeframes?

  1. It looks like you are not comfortable in smaller timeframes. MA works the same on the same pattern , no matter what timeframe it is, so do other indicators based on price . Some of the patterns are rarely present on daily charts but plentiful on 1 min chart.

  2. I got one word for you all.... Fractals 1 minute chart is the exact same thing as a daily or monthly. It doesn't matter what timeframe for MA's etc. Its all the same.

    Can someone comment on whether one is likely to find most well established trends in which timeframe? I hear some say there are more in intraday than daily, is this correct? Where do you find most?

    Thanks!

  5. You have to decide for yourself. Put a couple of mas on a chart (say 9 and 18) and then keep adjusting the timeframe until you find periods or tick numbers of volume bar numbers that look trendy. Then go out of sample and see if those values continue to show trends best.

    Yes some of the same principles apply /any market
    but on ES day trade use profit targets more;
    ,MA too slow, but still help on charts.

    Of course slippage. comissions, improper size, can ruin an unselective ES daytrader.

    Prefer swing -position trades,moving averages not daytrades;
    for real estate.
