T3400 Deal of The Week!

  1. All power supplies have 3 rails.
    :D

But if you were referring to whether or not the +12v rail is single or triple on the 325 watt PSU, you would be correct in assuming that it had a single +12v rail.

The 525 watt that came with my Precision T3400 has triple +12 v rails.
All rated at 18 amps each, I believe.

    Quadro Fx 570 Pcie 256Mb

Whats the recommended resolution for that card?

I have 2 samsung 191t's that run great at 1280X1024.
Concern is these wont run well with the quadro card.

You have just proved my point -- Dell gives you a PS that is barely sufficient.
To get a half decent machine, you will need to pay extra. By then it is not a bargain any more.

Don't know that's true. I've read from some who know better than I that Dell PSU's are (1) generally underrated, and (2) of good quality.

For trading, the CPU and video card in most rigs will run nearly all the time at "near idle".. and that's about 150-180W in a modern machine. Therefore, the 375W which comes in a T3400 is more than adequate. In fact, paying extra for a 525W is likely completely unnecessary unless running 2 hot cards in SLI.
