    Likely ''V'' in the long term/ + more likely in the medium + long term because Ev batteries are charged by fossil fuels, coal, gas.
    Dont worry about that top tail on weekly charts or SEC $ 40 million fine\trial.
    As far as short term, TSLA making progress from DEC\
    = JAN 100% sell to 88% , barchart opinion.
    F+ Mercedes average a much better car/truck;
    TSLA maybe a better stock, + higher PE are priced that way+ trend that way.

    Supply vs. Demand

    Tesla has dropped prices by up to 20% in the US in what appears to be a bid to fuel demand, after missing delivery targets last quarter.

    The lower pricing is a double benefit for would-be buyers. The cuts mean that, for American consumers, some of Tesla’s most popular lines, like the Model Y SUV, are now below the cap needed to qualify for the $7,500 EV tax credit. And Tesla’s not just having a sale in the US either. Models in China have seen their prices slashed for the second time since September, with cuts of 13% and 17% also coming in the UK and Germany, respectively.

    Tesla has spearheaded the charge into EVs for more than a decade, but they might — for the first time in their history — be seeing supply outstrip demand. For two quarters in a row, Tesla has produced more cars than they’ve delivered. That’s partly down to logistical issues faced when shipping its vehicles, but the scale of the price cuts suggests that Tesla has recognized a need to be more price competitive in order to hold onto its EV market share, which fell to 65% in the US towards the end of 2022, down from 71% the year before.

    Buyer’s remorse

    With an increasingly competitive EV market, an uncertain economic environment and a share price that has fallen ~65% in 2022, Tesla execs will be hoping the Econ 101 theory plays out in reality, and the lower prices stimulate demand.

    Of course, recent Tesla buyers have been feeling more than a bit of remorse after learning that they've paid thousands more than if they'd waited, with some owners in China even protesting in Tesla showrooms.

    Lol, is that from Seeking Alpha? These guys have been Tesla bears for as long as I can remember.
    Musk said in 2019 that Tesla would grow 50% a year for the next 5 years. So far, Tesla has grown an average of over 50% a year since. How bears wish to read Tesla's growth of 42% this year is theirs to choose.
    Last year, Tesla decided to change the way it builds cars to smooth their delivery curve and decided to create a supply buffer. Again, shorts call it over supply... Whatever.
    Tesla's profit margins are the highest in the industry. Now that their production capacity has increased, they have more flexibility to raise or lower their prices. Personally I don't think Musk needed to squeeze competition this way. The conflict in the US isn't yet between brands but between ICE and EV tech. Tesla is so far ahead of its competition that it should primarily focus on winning the war on electrification.

    V or v= about the same thing; repeating patterns:D:D
    CAN SLIM;
    [N] New product or new management. I think Mr Musk learned his lesson after the $40,000ooo SEC fine. A dip from the FEB or MAR trial maybe another buy deal??
    They already buyin' it off weekly Don channels.
    I like the fundamentals+ funds buying. Like Andrew Carnegie, good for the metals business+ fossil fuels-takes a lot of fossil fuels to charge EV. NOT a prediction

    You're right, not everyone posting about Tesla trades its stock. I just think it's important to review negative spin and correct it whenever I see it.

    I'm right?

    That my post was neither bullish or bearish per se? Just passing on something that asks the question (not states an answer) has supply caught up with demand. I think it is valid to, once again, ask not state that when a company reduces prices they feel it is necessary to stay competitive - regardless of whether or not they are the industry leader. And actually more so if they are.

    If you can't see when you're being led to think in a direction, that's your problem. I think I broke down and corrected the post enough to show its anti Tesla bias.

    A company can reduce price as a strategy to gain market share from its competitors, however few they may be. That's not "feeling necessary to stay competitive". But you know that.

    20% price cut is a 20% price cut regardless of spin.
