There are no systems. That means You can maximize probability of winning, but the odds are still against You.
At this point market is much more fair and honest.

I agree. But the person asking for a system asked about blackjack only if they did not have to count cards. So without being aware if the deck is rich or thin, all he can really do is just play basic strategy. I was only trying to address his question, not tell him that he did not have better options available. But again, he specifically asked for a system that does not exist.

Also, how come there are so few people that are truly barred from the BJ tables, and yet I know so many? Do all the card counters end up as daytraders? Jeff Wilson is gone, but his traders remain.
(Don, I will take a wild guess and say you know who I am talking about).
    Best,

  3. Are BJ players that count barred because they win, or because they dont lose enough and take up the seat of a real sucker?

If you have never been and want to play cheap I would suggest going to the Sahara, which is at the end of the strip. They have $1 tables (or did) and you can play all night, drink a few watered brews and just have fun.

If you play craps, a bet on the pass with odds, and two working come bets with odds give you the statistical best odds. No need to be a piggy, you could lay $1 take $2 in odds, and repeat so three bets are working. You would have $9 at risk. Unless you generally find yourself taking your wallet out of your pocket, throwing it on the ground and pissing on it, this may be the place for you. At a non grind joint like Monte Carlo you would be risking $45 on the same strategy.

I might also suggest skipping the gambling and going strait to Mons Venus. You will blow the same cash, but it all goes to beautiful women who need it to support their boyfriends.

    Good Luck

Go to The Palms, it's a new casino by the Maloof brothers (owner of the Sacramento Kings), last time I went there on friday/saturday nights the place was filled with twenty-something fineass honeys...their dealers are young, their environment is hip, they pretty much are outdoing Hard Rock in attracting the young crowd...so if it's just fun you are looking for, that's the place to go imo

  9. ok, not too sure of the rules you guys are referring to. Haven't played at vegas.

I just started playing craps with the brothers here at the dorms. I have a friend of mine that showed me the rules of the game. 7 or 11 on the first roll you win. 3, 2, and 12 lose on the first roll. The shooter puts down what he wants to bet, and someone matches that is betting against the shooter. If the shooter doesn't hit either of those number, the shooter's goal is to roll the same number (point).

I'm not a math wiz, so my calculations may be incorrect. I wrote down all the possible combinations. I found that 6, 7, and 8 have the same amount of combinations, 3. The way I calculated is this, 1x1, 1x2, 1x3.... 1x6, 2x2. I didn't repeat 2x1 again because of 1x2. I just wanted to know how many combinations are avaiable for each available roll. So basically what I came up with every number other than 6,7,8 have a smaller chance of coming up.

My strategy isn't to bet on the first roll. If the point is either 4, 5, 9, and 10, I would bet against him. If nothing came up, then the odds of a 7 coming up are stronger, so I would up the bet. If the shooter is hot, I wouldn't bet because my strategy works when the shooter isn't hot.

now I've only tried this on two occassions, so I'm gonna keep sticking to my system and hopefully I'll come out ahead. So far so good.

If you guys find my logic incorrect, please feel free to give me your opinions.

    thanks,
    Andy

Andy, few problems. 7 has the most combos. (1/6-6/1) (2/5- 5/2)
    (3/4) (4/3) for 6 ways 6&8 have equal probabilities (1/5-5/1) (2/4-4/2) and (3/3) for 5 ways.

Now to bet against the shooter you have two options (the first is to bet on the (Don't Pass, or Don't Come). Both are almost the reverse of playing with the shooter. If the shooter rolls a 7/11 you loose. If he rolls a 2 or 3 you win. If he rolls a 12 you push (neither win or lose). So on the "Come out Roll" the odds are against you winning. Once the shooter establishes a point (4,5,6,8,9,10), the odds are in your favor since 7 has the most combos, and a 7 before the point takes the shooter out.

Now, you can take what is called a LAY Bet. Which is the same as waiting until the point is established to bet against the shooter. In fact, you can lay any number, not just the point. The problem is that the payout odds are not 1 to 1. So if you lay the 4 or 10, which has the least combos you will have to lay $10 to win $5.

So at the end of the day it is better odds to play the buffet.
