let me repeat once again....audited records are expensive. if you pay to audit my records-keep them, post them, do whatever the hell you want. but once again-i can't see a personal reason, why i would do that. for what? explain it to me. i don't have to proof anything to anybody here. i'm not looking for a job,why would i waste few K to proof something to somebody i don't know on some public forum. sorry, but i just don't get it...

  3. In 2008, I made over 500% in 10 weeks. It was just before the market crashed. Using market profile, I was simply buying the market when it was below the Lower Value Area but above the 4 day MA and visa versa for shorts. I thought I had discovered the holy grail, so I kept on adding leverage.

I didn't realize it at the time, but the long swings were a result of a rise in volatility, that often happens at the very top.

Then one day I went long and the market just collapsed. I lost about 90% of my capital in 10 days.

So the answer to your question is yes, you can make 50% easily in a month, but you can't do it every month. And usually the leverage required to do it will ultimately kill you. And the chances are it will kill you before your first 50% month.

On a side note. Back in 98, I made 53% on my position overnight. It was during the asian currency crisis and there was a strong rumour going about that Argentina was going to default on its debt. I figured the US would shit itself if this happened. I purchased my first naked put option and the next day the dow fell 520 points.

    That was a good day.

So my advice to all you kids who want to make 50% in a month is this. If there is a rumor going around that Greece, or Spain or Portugal are only a few days away from defaulting, get your ass short. Don't wait for the official announcement.

    How do you measure percent?

ES mini500 value appx $50,000, Margin avg $1,000

    You get a 10 point profit = $500

Profit percent on actual risk $50K = 1%
Profit percent on equity = 50%

50% regular return on equity is not unreasonable

  5. Well I measure percent returns on a multiple of the amount in my account. So if my account had 50K at the start of the month and had 75K at the end of the month, then I consider that to a 50% return.
