  5. Totally ridiculous post. Anyone ever wonder why no one on the planet has ever come forward with real money trading statements at a real money trading firm to validate some of the ridiculous claims on this board???? The best and brightest money managers in the world are thrilled to compound their capital at 25% per annum and they are few and far between.
Buffett's long term record is something like 25% to 30% compounded. Just check the tracking services which track real money results of the hedge funds, CTAs, etc. if you want to see reality.

Wouldn't 50% per ***week*** profit make me, quite possibly, the world's best trader ???

I am not saying that I do 50% per week - I am just asking in the grand scheme of things relative to the best traders in the world

Yes, but they manage billions which is a lot harder because of the market impact, they have to be a lot better to make 25 % on 5 billions than 100% on 100K$. IMO, give 20 K$ to Paul Tudor Jones now and it's a million before year end.

I guess he doesn't really have the time to play this game though...

  9. Maybe not 50% per month, but a more realistic 50% every few years. I don't subscribe, but I've followed these guys for years. They changed their model in 2006, but they still list all of their signals back to 2001.
