  3. I know what method he's using. Didn't the japs use it at Pearl Harbour when they'd run out of bombs? Think it begins with a 'k' or something.:)

  4. I'm assuming that you trade only the US market, because aren't margin requirements for the ES around $5K outside normal hours?

If so, why not consider using the SSO/SDS combination to approximate the ES contract? This way you can trade real time with a position size that is scaled to your account?

IB commissions wouldn't make a huge dent if you switched to unbundled, and since you moved from IB to AMP, I'm assuming they have a similar (or better) commission schedule.

    My $0.02.

  5. Didn't get the gap fill buffoonery I was calling for. No worries. Markets have been a bit strange lately.

7 Gaps in row for the ES!!!!!! My system definitely doesn't play well into that.

I will not be posting everyday as most days are just a choppy mess. I will post on significant days and at least once a week. This market has been so dead lately there just isn't much to talk about.

Also someone was asking about backtesting. Backtesting is utter bullshit for day trading. Can't be done. I had SIX trades that would have been winners on paper but I didn't get my fills in reality. So backtesting may produce something theoretically tangilbe for swing trading but not for scalping.

I also ran into a shitty system error that cost me $400 on Wednesday. Ninja Trader kept crashing and didn't flatten out one of my positions.. long story short AVG anti virus was trying to access files at the same time when I would try to execute certain commands in Ninja.

Bottom line. Get rid of anti-virus software on trading computer with Windows 7.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
