symbols for NG and CL on opentick.com

Discussion in 'Commodity Futures' started by clearpicks, Oct 27, 2007.

  1. Can someone tell me what are the correct symbol formats for NG and CL futures contracts on opentick.com? I tried to use HistCsv to download historical intraday data of these two products from opentick server, however I only got either only a few bars downloaded or no data at all. Does opentick really support NYMEX? The commands I use are as follows:

    HistCsv CLM7.txt feed2.opentick.com 10010 useryyyyy passwordxxxx /e HT /s /CLM7 03/01/2007 9:00 03/20/2007 14:30 /tm /o minutely 1

    HistCsv WSK7.txt feed1.opentick.com 10010 useryyyyy passwordxxxx /e HT /s /WSK7 03/01/2007 9:00 04/01/2007 14:30 /tm /o minutely 1

    Help is greatly appreciated.

would you have the # for opentick.com

  3. I believe CLM7 would have stopped trading on 20 Feb.

Also, I think the exchange for NYMEX is "NX" "HT" is GLOBEX

Why don't help the guy instead of being a WISEASS!

CLZ07 is the front month for Crude.

  5. Not being a wiseass

    His request was /CLM7 03/01/2007 9:00 03/20/2007 14:30

He wanted a reason why no data was returned

Besides, the "M" in CLM07 signifies the JUNE 07 contract, which would not stop trading in Feb -- just a thought
