Sydney, Australia

  1. Perhaps consider the west coast of Australia. Perth is much cheaper than the east coast for living but will conceade less job opportunities.

Not sure on prop firms or arcades in this city.

Very good location for trading Asian, European and openning US markets.

    Weather is also excellent.

  2. For overall lifestyle, I prefer Queensland (I'm in Brisbane). Subtropical climate, laid back pace, reasonable cost of living, great beaches, beautiful women, friendly people.

  3. Sounds like Shangri-La! :D

Edit: I live in NYC, and believe me EVERYTHING is the exact opposite ... except there are plenty of beautiful women here (you do seem to get that everywhere) ... but I'm not into paying the maintenance fees right now.

    Later,

  7. hi guys,

penny for your thoughts. i am gold coast based trader. married with 2 kids and trading sp eminis from 11:30pm - 6am is getting it's toll and ive only been doing this since dec 05. i wake up btwn 12pm-2pm everday and it kinda sucks. cant get myself to wake up any earlier.

i am basically a scalper and use the $500 margin per contract to trade teh sp eminis. overall, i may execute a max of 4-6 trades per day for 1 point per trade.

is there any other futures market in europe or asia that provides a similar leverl of liquidity and trading oportunity (ie, 1 point = 10%) to teh sp500 WITHOUT trading during teh graveyard shifts?

i love trading. problem is, i cant see myself trading these hours for the rest of my life and i hope never to go back to business or working for others.
