Michael Schumacher, german, four times formula one motor racing champion, lives in switzerland. He is young, makes $50-100 million a year and only pays $2million in tax!
for those seriously considering Europe the Swiss Canton of Zug is certainly first choice ... not only but foremost tax-wise: www.zug.ch/economy/01e11.htm mind you ... generally speaking Switzerland is not the most exciting place to live though. regards wild
Cheap, best would be an exchange with a Burkina Faso Passport. I confirm was Dlincke said: for foreigners Switzerland is very good. No further comments. Swiss secret service is the best after CIA and FBI.

I haven't read through all of this thread yet, so this could have been asked before -Where can I find a map of Switzerland with the spoken languages (like per canton) on it? [EDIT 1] http://www.about.ch/culture/languages/language_map.html -Where can I find a map of Switzerland with the taxation (per canton)? [EDIT 2 - Next time I better read the thread before I post something] http://www.zug.ch/economy/01e11.htm I'd like to find out where in la Suisse Romande the taxes are lowest. Also, if anyone has a site where you can buy land (in the French speaking canton with the lowest tax), please share it. Alain seems the persons who knows most about it, but anyone may help me. Thanks. Oh, and sites with nature pictures are also welcome. I like (the Swiss) mountains.
well.. I live in Switzerland that's all i know If you are interested in the french part of switzerland I would recomend to you the coast at the lake geneva. For example Montreux, my most favorite place to be. But this region has very high taxes. If you want low taxes in switzerland then you have to go to the area around Zug, Schwyz, Uri... If you are looking for some professional consulting I can see if there is someone that i know specialized in this.
a few agreeable European places for native English-speakers: www.cyprus-online.com www.malta.com www.gibraltar.gi www.jersey.co.uk www.thisisguernsey.com/aboutguernsey/index.html http://travel.alderney.net www.sark.info www.isle-of-man.com
Thanks for the list I'll check it out, but Switzerland has my preference. Well English isn't my native language but that's no problem. You might as well add Andorra to that list, they seem to have no taxes. And I looked on the net for "Campione D'Italia" but seems they DO have income taxes (20%). Anyways I checked this: http://switzerland.isyours.com/e/residence/eu/lump-sum-taxation.html Suppose I live in Switzerland, and trade the US markets would I qualify for this: "No to work within Switzerland" I would work form WITHIN Switzerland, but I wouldn't really work IN Switzerland would I?
there´s definitely NO income tax in Campione d´Italia unless you do business with the "rest" of Italy ... ask the Italian embassy for confirmation at www.italyemb.org or Azienda Turistica Campione d´Italia via volta 3 22060 Campione d´Italia pone: 0041 (91) 649 50 51 fax: 0041 (91) 649 91 78 e-mail: azienda.turistica.ca@ticino.com regards wild
