Swing Trading

  1. Could someone differentiate for me the difference between swing and day trading.

  2. Actually you can swing trade intraday, but usually the difference is that daytrading means you go home flat every day. Swing trading, or pullback trading, tends to be a 2-3 day type trade. The reason I say you can swing trade intraday is because there are pullbacks in every time frame.

  3. Aren't you the guy that manages the 1 MILLION dollar virtual fund on ET-Journals?

  4. Yep (Virtual, meaning not real)- I just graduated college, so I am more educated in INVESTING, rather than TRADING.

I am still learning the ropes and trying to understand this trading deal.

So, swing trading would be 2-3 day investments, and daytrading would just be intra day investments- scalping would be however long it takes to get a few ticks up or at the loss level.
