Sorry you got stopped out. One question if I may, have you considered (for your counter-trend shorts) entering on downward momentum and very quickly tightening the stop / moving it to breakeven (à la Laissez Faire), instead of giving it this much room? I understand trying to catch a reversal, but sometimes I get the feeling you're half as stubborn as me. (It's an honest question, I have great respect for you as a trader and I'm sure you're doing much better than me).
I can see this squeeze another 10 points into the Close for the ultimate death stab of the bears (sorry, @schizo). NQ seems to have a vacuum to the upside. Holding lottery tickets here: EDIT: Flat at 71 on a trailing stop for + 22 points. Lucky day.
Amazingly TLT went higher even after a hot PPI. Looks like the bond traders expected that number but the financial commentators all thought it was hot so there seems to be a disconnect. I think unless TLT breaks hard downwards this slow & steady climb upwards continues.
I'm a real stubborn SOB, that's for sure. Since this was a swing trade, I decided to go with a large stop, which I don't normally do with my daytrades. Anyway, you got me thinking about the "what if": What if I can only go long and cannot trade counter-trends? This would definitely change the way I see the market.
