Collecting premium or holding high yield dividends out performs "trading". I will still swing trade, but the longer capital stands without earning the less you are making relatively...which is why I now try to have every dollar earning. Details Recap: MSTY Investment (No DRIP): Entry: $21.04 → Exit: $30.00 Monthly coupon: $2.47, DRIP disabled Total shares: 2,376.92 Dividends: $20,551.67 Capital Gain: $21,323.72 P&L: $41,875.39 IBIT Shares: Entry: $61.75 → Exit: $75.00 Shares: ~809.71 P&L: ($75 − $61.75) × 809.71 = $10,724.66 IBIT Call Options: Sep 19 $61 strike @ $5.20 100 contracts = $52,000 cost Final intrinsic value = $14.00 Profit: ($14.00 − $5.20) × 100 × 100 = $88,000 I would choose MSTY here all day long because you are going to get Dividends: $20,551.67 regardless of what happens...if price goes sideways you make nothing holding IBIT, and lose 52k on the call option. @Sctaphgogs uses support and resistance lol and only posts charts after the fact. Unless you can project price into the future you are not a Technical Analyst.
Instead of typing all that wouldn't it be easier to set your phones camera on macro and just snap a pic of your trade blotter/PL page? You're obviously not worried about someone stealing your strategy. You'd be surprised how clear and readable a photo of a full size monitor is. Lets see that pic. Would make for some absolutely fascinating reading.
That's chat gpt...the IBIT pnl is wrong in your quote...it is actually only P&L: ($75 − $61.75) × 809.71 = $10,724.66 No strategy to steal...and unless you are a practitioner of EW, cyphers, wychoff etc you won't be able to swing trade anyway.
Snap a pic of what? I just gave chat gpt the parameters of the three trade scenarios and pasted the answer.
We are comparing the numbers lol...I should mention that there is a chance with the MSTY position suffering NAV decay which would offset capital gains.
