  2. Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't even notice that either.

He somehow desperately wanted to add more at 1920..at 1905 he closed it out at 1936 because that's what he "would" have done...yet at 1920 he "desperately" wanted to add more...and now he started a new thread starting with 30k all over again..

The guy is the biggest clown I've seen in a while on here

  3. This must be some sort of treatable condition.

To the OP: get a blog, youtube channel, website, and populate it with 1 trillion pages of numbers and thoughts and whatever it is you do.....

Start with 1 million dollars and use google images for pictures of helicopters, houses, cash, and small islands.

then write a book and make a movie and retire super rich. and be the lead actor, you.

    Sir,

I don't know why you are so condescending and angry.

If you observe closely, I made that post wanting to add 'desperately' at 1920 on 1st August. I Sold at 1936 on August 4 (Monday) around the close in my real account.

US constitution allows free speech and you are free to call me clown, but is it fair? I have been doing this journal for months, maintaining in real time for months. I miss maintaining in real time just 1 trade, and you calling me all names. Do we necessarily have to be so angry on ET here?

Paper trading has a place, it makes huge amount of sense to start with paper trading than put in 20-30k of your real capital on a new style that you are starting. In the first post on this thread, I already mentioned this is an experimental journal.

If your reading comprehension is so bad, maybe you need to go back to school and not worry about my treatable condition.

    Grow up man!

Yes, this time I just got distracted since I was undergoing a drawdown in my real account. Managing that drawdown was priority, rather than updating this journal.

    I hope it makes sense.

  7. Its takes like a minute tops to post your exit, since you are not scalping for ticks you don't even need to post it in real time, nobody is going to fault you for posting like an hour or 2 later, anyway its not like a few extra points of losses would have mattered when you are already 40 points in the hole.

Now not posting a journal entry in real time for a swing trade is totally different from posting some hindsight BS a few days later claiming that "you would have exited at 1936 " when the current price is 1905. What would you have posted if ES had gone to 1950 instead yesterday? That you are not going to exit at 1950 because you already exited at 1936 "in your mind" a few days ago? Don't kid yourself man.

I only read these journals for entertainment but its just bad entertainment when there is zero integrity, the whole thing is just a waste of time.

Fair point you make about posting an hour or two later and this is a swing journal not an intra-day stuff.

May I draw your attention to the fact that I kept posting throughout the journal for 9 months almost real time. I went into a drawdown from 110k to 55-60k and still I continued posting.

This time I didn't post and that is why I said myself journal integrity has been breached and so I decided to close this journal.

Maybe it has been a waste of time for you, but for me this journal has been EXTREMELY USEFUL. I never traded swing before, and I got valuable experience trading swing in this paper journal. So much valuable experience that in my real account also, for last couple of months, I have started to keep positions for multiple days. Earlier I was purely intraday in my real account. Thank You!

  9. GMST,

For journal integrity purposes just go ahead and take the 45K hit. Use this as a learning experience to improve the system. Obviously, something's wrong with your system with the wild equity swings. And, yes, I know that you woulda coulda shoulda exited earlier......but.....you didn't.

Hurricane, lets do it as per your suggestion. So, lets do the math.

with close at 1936. Account Equity = 78,125.

When I posted it, market price was 1905, so thats 31 points lower. I had 18 contracts. For journal integrity purposes, I close at 1905.

    So, additional loss PL = -18*50*31 = -27,900

    New Account Equity = 78,125 - 27,900 = 50,255 USD

I think its important that folks should read the first post of this journal.

I had never traded swing before and this journal has helped me develop enough confidence that I have started to trade swing in my account now. This journal was for my own improvement, not for anyone else. If some people were following it, its great. But ultimately this journal has served its purposes for improvements in my own trading.

    Cheers!

Now in my new journal, wherein I will be sending emails to anyone who is interested in real time, there won't be any delay. Because the whole process would be automated.
