So does that mean many shorts are taking this opportunity to cover, and in so doing buy out the capitulating longs? I see a lot of shorting. It seems to be one short handing the ball to another. I have traded this well for daytrades today, but want to wait and see what develops and maybe there will be a swing or position trade in the weeks ahead.
I've been trading it all day also. I think the heavy short situation causes nice volatility as they cover and other players wait to short that move. Agree, it could very well be a nice swing trade in the near future.
AGN stopped out 66.30 -1.40 NVDA stopped out -.07 THe premise of the NVDA trade was its bounce off a longterm fib level .79 Oct - Jan run. THis level was touched pre-market but I was busy trading INVN and did not make the trade I put a breakeven stop order on the NVDA because I simply did not want to risk anything on it. IF this last stand fib level holds, it could use some help from with a turnaround in the techs and semis. BTW Long 1000 CCMP 47.17 with a .4 trailing stop (now 47.76) (daytrade not included in P&L)
I don't think so. At least I have not found it on RT. I think www.nasdaq.com or www.nasdaqtrader.com compiles end of month stats on NAZ short positions. 25% of the float short is huge.
Yes ,you can put them in a minder in real tick along with a whole lot of other stuff, look in the fields, not on that system right now so canhttp://www.nasdaq.com/asp/quotes_full.asp?selected=ccmp&kind=shortint&symbol=TMWD%60&symbol=BVSN%60't you exactly. The most recent , accurate short info is here. notice the dates.
