    Market commentary:

    Good day!
Market resistance is still holding. The QQQQ couldn’t break the 20ma daily resistance area. The SPY and DIA finished under trend and previous high resistance areas.
    http://www.swingcharts.net/Ivica/2006/07282006qqqq.jpg

On the QQQQ daily chart you can see the 20ma resistance area and the previous resistance which is support now, the same is with Wednesday's low. The SPY and DIA are above the 20ma and 50ma and that will be the support area now; also the previous high and trend line are still resistance areas.
    http://www.swingcharts.net/Ivica/2006/07282006spy.jpg

They are all very close. The daily charts are really a mess. Moving averages are all around; previous resistance is now support, previous highs and trend lines. That can tell us a lot about tomorrow expectations.
    http://www.swingcharts.net/Ivica/2006/07282006dia.jpg

For sure it will be harder day for swing traders since I don’t expect a lot opportunities. I believe that we will have the same type day as we had last 2 days. Whippy intraday actions which will be the norm for day and scalp traders. I will continue to follow the market action and I will compare that with any interesting stock charts, and then I will decide if there is a trade opportunity. In this market action I’m very happy with “own way” stocks, and that is my main occupation after I do market scanning.

    Good luck trading today!!!!

    Ivica

As always I will be in room just prior to the market open and I am always available via email if you have any questions.

IMPORTANT: Take only opportunities what you really like and you really understand trading plan. If you will have questions always can ask me, but isn’t good way to be successful if you will take trades without understanding. That is very important. Only few trades are enough for successful trader, they don’t need a ton every day. I personally take mostly swing trades. You must have that always in your mind.

    Market commentary:

    Good day!
We had a really nice day in the trading room. The watch list setups are also going very well and I think they will continue to do well if the market breaks the over head resistance

    http://www.swingcharts.net/Ivica/2006/07312006qqqq.jpg

This move up is whippy because of all those resistances and every day it seems one resistance is broken. The QQQQ had problems with the 20ma on daily chart. At the end of the day it finally closed the day above it.

    http://www.swingcharts.net/Ivica/2006/07312006spy.jpg

The SPY and DIA are still in the resistance areas which are clearly visible on the daily charts. My bias for Monday is to continue to move up in the morning. After this initial move I do not know.
    http://www.swingcharts.net/Ivica/2006/07312006dia.jpg

I do know that for any new move up the market needs rest (consolidation) on daily charts. Consolidation will bring us a pattern which is important for us to predict any future move. Market action is still effected with earnings and summer trading and because of that we need to use the proper risk.

    Good luck trading today!!!!

IMPORTANT: Take only opportunities that you really like and understand. Always enter a trade with a trading plan. If you have questions you can always ask me. There is a much greater chance of success in your trading if you understand the trade. That is very important. Only a few trades are enough to be a successful trader. Overtrading is probably the number one reason new traders fail. I personally take mostly swing trades. You must have that always in your mind.

This is JCOM daily chart. JCOM had nice bounce from daily support area and then consolidation. That consolidation brings us nice r/r possibility. I will look for equal move if JCOM will see setup. 1st resistance is daily 20sma...blue line

    Market commentary:

    Good day!
Yesterday we had a typical summer trading day. After intraday down trend at the start, the market fell into range action for the rest of day. That is the reason I continue to say it is important to trade defensively during the summer. The market will always be here and the most important thing is to remain in the game by not losing all of your trading capital.
    http://www.swingcharts.net/Ivica/2006/08022006qqqq.jpg

On daily charts the QQQQ remained above the 10ma support area and still looks to be the weakest of all the indexes. The SPY and DIA look stronger.
    http://www.swingcharts.net/Ivica/2006/08022006spy.jpg

On the daily chart SPY stayed above 200ma support area and DIA above 200sma on the15 min chart. Generally, daily resistances are still holding. Last week we saw that some of resistance areas were broken, and that areas are now the support areas. Now we have same situation.
    http://www.swingcharts.net/Ivica/2006/08022006dia.jpg

Market right now is holding in lot of daily support/resistance areas. I don’t expect a strong move in any direction during August. From my experience this is the worse month for trading. I will trade small and with very small risk over August.

    Good luck trading today!!!!
