Just because I don't sell options like you....I'm automatically the enemy. You only want Cheerleaders for your cause, Your mind perspective is completely closed off to anything that can be considered compelling, You mention in your video briefly about Taking Risks, specially for young people. Selling options for the insurance premium is hardly considered taking risks, or risky. The Real risk/reward, and skill, is buying options before an expected move, Timing and understanding of the market,
I'm wondering why, as soon as the name Karen pops in, the thread becomes as heated as a car left under July sun from 8 AM to 13 PM.
@Pekelo yeah I get it that at the time it was a very polarizing thing.. but hell, when was it? 2019? And this thread is already at page 11
What happened since then? I will tell you: 1. Did Karen stay quiet and in retirement? No!!! She wrote a fucking book!!! 2. Did Sosnoff acknowledge that they backed the wrong horse? No! They invited her again and paraded her as a success. So if you only follow TT, you would never figure out that she is a convicted fraud who can't be a fund manager ever. Neither TT or Sweet Bobby asked her hard and obvious questions, they are just brown nosing her in interviews. It is like a Holocaust denial, "no, she never lost money" and "she only lost in court because she didn't have money for good lawyers". Looks like in America nobody ever fails... And let me quote my fav from Karen: "Once I am in profits, I don't give it back."
Okay, I trade on tastyworks (and e-trade and TOS). I'm a little concerned. Not that it will change my trading platforms (tho' it might), but if does give me pause. Does TT still support her? Heck, I've been accused (of misdemeanors), but felony convictions are a little different.
@Pekelo haha I didn't know she ever wrote a book.. I thought everything ended with the conviction.. I drifted away from the tastytrade/selling naked strangles world right about that time (but not before being destroyed a few times by the market going against my position).
There's a critical distinction to be drawn here, between TT/TW (brokerage/platform) and their educational/advertising arm. As far as I know, there's nothing wrong with the platform or the brokerage itself - IME, they fill just as well/at the same prices than ToS/TDA and TradeStation (even better than TDA on occasion, as reported by some friends I trust.) It's a bit short on features, things like having enough columns to show all the necessary greeks on the option chain, the ability to add indicators or copy trades - but these are relatively minor quibbles. The edu side, though, is... questionable. I wouldn't go so far as to call it "shady", but the strong and constant din of "all you have to do is sell options", even in a market environment that shows it to be absolutely foolish, is just a bit too carnival barker-like for me. Their soft-shoe around Karen's criminal behavior is a part of that; I won't accuse them of anything like conspiracy or intent to commit fraud, but not making a clear, firm statement of "a deep ditch and a high wall between us" about her is... a posture with less integrity than I find appropriate. That's a personal line that everyone has to draw for themselves, though.
Sorry Bobby, I used to have some respect for you. But now it's gone. While your trades finally have some risk managements, your goal is to have paid subscribers. You started with your website, trying to charge $50 or so a month, then no one subscribed. Now I heard you are doing the exact same thing in Discord. I don't care you trying to do business but it's not about trading in your case..... your goal is like other fake gurus...... make maybe a little bit of money sometimes by trading (probably losing in the long term) but in fact, almost all the money is made by selling fake courses or private groups, getting referral bonus, while yelling losing is the part of trading game.... isn't that amazing this game works every time because there are always greedy idiot exists in any given time?
