  2. Amen to that. Just bought a Tahoe because we needed something to haul the family and tow a travel trailer. Still gets 19 mpg highway, and about 15 around town, which is good considering there are all those crazy CRX and Prius drivers out there with the faded Kerry stickers who drive like loons. At least if one of them runs into us, we can just have the paint buffed out. My toddlers are safe, and no amount of fuel economy is going to coax me out of that safety net. I invest money so I can spend it on making life better and safer for my family. FWIW, with the second row bucket seats, its like a minivan inside because you can get to the third row without folding seats.

  3. I like to drive big vehicles. I have a Toyota Truck, a Hummer and a restored '87 Corvette. Also I have two boats with diesal engines. I feel that it is my divine right to use as much gasoline as I can afford. This year I plan to buy a small private jet. I figure that the jet alone will set me back about $30,000 a month in Jet A fuel. This is the American way. I have to uphold my part in this consumption oriented society. How would it look if my next door neighbor had a bigger boat, or a wife with bigger implants? Not on my watch. I intend to use (and waste) more irreplaceable natural resources than anyone has ever done before. Did I mention that I have a pool (and jacuzzi) that I keep heated all year around?

    Ok then, as you were.

    Best Regards,
    Lefty

    Edit:

By the way, I realize that my truck and Hummer are two years old. I think it may be time to do my part to bring that sales slump to an end. I don't have a wife, but I do have a girlfriend (without implants) so I think I can help out there as well. I sure do appreciate this thread. It helps to put life's little problems into a better perspective.

  4. it's not always about YOU and YOUR FAMILY. If you want to drive a humble car that saves the environment, and makes the roads safer for everyone, you'll drive the zap smart car. Plus, you can fit in just about any parking space with the smart car.

  5. You mean these SMART cars? I like the roadster although I'd have to rip the engine out. Horses not ponies!

  7. Right, and the stock to trade is ZAPZ

  8. So ZAPZ buys the SMART cars in Europe, transports them to the US and converts them? What happens when DaimlerChrysler brings them over next year?

  9. ZAPZ has an advantage as they already have the cars approved ( a two year process)
