I never want to be the person who posts nothing but the good stuff that happens in my life, as that's not a very good representation of myself, or of life in general. There are a couple of valves in the deep veins of my upper legs that basically have decided to stop working. This condition can be hereditary, but it can also be caused by heavy leg workouts over a prolonged period of time. My particular case is probably due to a little bit of both. When I walk, this problem prevents blood from getting back up to my heart, which then causes my legs to feel very heavy, like I have a midget clinging onto each leg.... and I don't like midgets very much, especially clingy ones. So I'm going in for surgery tomorrow to get one leg sorted out.... and I have to do it all over again in two weeks for the other leg. It's an outpatient procedure that only takes a couple of hours, so I should be back to my plan of ET taking over the world in no time. Anyway, I would appreciate it if you keep me in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow.
I am sorry to hear you have to go through this! You have always been such a respectable/respectful person. You will be in my thoughts. I am sure you will get through this, and become stronger from the experience. I believe I speak for the board when I say, if there is anything we can do, please let us know, and we would be honored to do it! David
A healthy and speedy recovery Baron. The very best of wishes to you in your procedure , and to a quick return to your program maintaining top shape you have achieved. Stay strong in mind and body.
You are in my thoughts and prayers Baron. Now go get them midgets off your legs will ya? And tell them to stay away.
Good luck, Baron. We await your report of a full and speedy recovery. When did you first notice there was a problem? Sounds like it was sudden.
Take care and glad to say a prayer or two. I knew this working out stuff wasn't really good for health. That's it, I'm going out and buying a case of Guinness, and taking up power lifting beer bottles. Seriously, take care, and milk that author wife for all the sympathy you can get!
