  1. I just signed up for the 2 week free trial and I couldn't get the program to run on my desktop after downloading, so looks like my offer is no good unless they have a web based platform I overlooked lol. I tried!

I didn't say to short it there at that moment in time. Where did I say that?

I was simply telling Surf (who was proudly profitable on his average down counter-trend trade) that with-trend swing traders (either already short or waiting for a pullback to initiate a short) would be expecting a test of 87.50 and if that broke, then 84.00 next in line.

It's not officially a "successful" call, hasn't yet tested 87.50, but I gave Surf ample opportunity to swing a technically sensible with-trend short position after he took his profits on his anticipated upside, which made sense at the time, being that the 20day EMA was around 93.90 when he posted this shortly before the last swing high was put in:

BTW, I never told Surf he was trading based on worthless junk science, nor did I make any outrageous claims about my trading methods compared to his. I take counter-trend trades all day, every day.

  6. okok, so you take $3.30 in heat and are up $2 at present. We are ignore the DD and HUP (hold until profitable). $87.50 will not make this a successful call. You would still have taken more heat than profit and there was no mention of any stop. It's a "non call".

I assume we were to short the top-print? IIRC you make some mention of doing 10-fold annually in CL futs.

The CL call is not a big deal, hardly an epic failure but you really intend on fostering this as a success?

  7. I was just thinking about that, I can't trade on lunch hour as there is no wireless connection here that I have access to. I have class at night till 9 immediately after work three days a week so I would be able to trade two days a week essentially MAYBE 3 and aren't 10 required for the month? I might be able to make it work, but I am going to check things out tonight and see if there is enough movement in CL at that time to be able to scalp like I would in the morning.

  9. good luck, but his sounds like the wrong business for you right now.

it doesn't have to be 10 in a row.

why are folks who are least suited for this business, the most attracted to it? no offense, but think this over first.

I don't take $3.30 heat. If swing trading I'd have been short from 95.41 back on 9/19 (trend line break, pullback and continuation trigger).

Someone who wasn't already short from there and looking to enter a new swing position short (not a day trade), would have had a short entry triggered on a break of a previous day's low during the pullback. That places a swing trader short at 91.39 if entries are acceptable during the Sunday session, or short at 91.61 during the yesterday evening's action. Protective stop would be placed above the last swing high (93.84).

This is really, really basic TA. I think you guys just like to post crap :p
