  2. My rookie trader did $10,300 net today, $200 more than Friday and he finished early again. In about 6 weeks I expect that as a baseline and risk per trade will be below 1% and continue falling.

Hitting the $1,000,000 target way inside the 12 months is a cinch. I'm hoping he'll hit 4 consecutive months at 250K pm as soon as we get the account up to $125K. Good old TA... it's a great way to maintain tight control on a trade and flow with the movement of price. This is not sim trading, it is trading with the $'s and emotions on the line.

I know 10,000% profit on $10K in 12 mths seemed like pie in the sky to some, but I only chose that figure and timescale because I knew we'd whack it. Never mind calling a 1000 point move, let's talk real money. Now what can PD's do? Still holding the same trade and waiting for it to come good? I hope it does, but it sure is slow and cumbersome compared to TA. :)

Surf has made his calls and declared so many times TA can't compare to PD's but here's the catch... you can't compound money without tight control and surf's PD's are slack in that department. You have to make money work and not just the technique in the long run. Now to put the record straight, I think surf might have something with his PD's, but as far as PD's Vs TA... if it makes 0.5% of what we do with TA I'd call that a fantastic success for PD's.

I think surf is simming and I have no problems with that at all. I'd accept an audit of sim trades against my real trading audit if he admits TA can be a traders weapon to beat the market by a huge margin and gives up this silly crusade against TA and those who practice TA. Sim trading can be close to the real thing except for the BIG question of emotions. That's surf's weak point... can he really let PD's control that, or will he jump in when the $'s are on fire?

I'd love to know the answer to that one because that is where belief is proven to be in the heart and not in the keystrokes, and where money and not predicting the market is the only evidence that the inner man truly believes. Do you believe surf? Or have you fooled yourself?

what's your agenda here? trying to recruit newbies? perfectly okay with that but perhaps you should create your own thread and do your thing there instead of keep parroting your sales pitch here.

  5. I take it you haven't read the thread, hence your question. I'll give you a fast track: go back to the Combine challenge and read all the challenges issued to those who trade with TA. Then take a look at the threads surf has posted in as well as this thread to say how superior his PD's are over TA, that his PD's can call the market but TA can't (all of which I don't have a problem with), how TA is a fraud and those who say it works are fraudsters and cowards, how no one using TA will dare to enter the combine lest they be found out, no one with TA will show a performance record etc., etc. (and I do have a slight problem with that)

I've been named by surf as one of those cowards who use TA but won't take the Combine because I am afraid of what it will show and that TA'ers can't show the goods (and I definitely do have a problem when it gets personal) so I respectfully expect the right to reply and take up the challenge of providing proof. Nothing more, and nothing less.

I hope you'd consider that even handed fair play. And in the spirit of fair play let's see the PD's performance, even if it is in sim mode.

Now if I have a sales pitch, perhaps you'd be so good as to show the offer and terms please. This is all as a bit of light hearted fun and I thought surf would be only too glad to put TA to the sword with his PD's, but it seems that can only happen in his mind now that I have responded. When I didn't respond because my student was not ready I was considered a fraud and a coward, but I intended to use a newbie to respond to surf's PD's as I thought it would highlight the strength of TA when a complete newbie is measured against surf's peerless PD's :)

Life's demands change and I have no time for new students. I need more time for family now. This is purely about the challenge surf made: he threw down the gauntlet and I picked it up. Instead of pistols at dawn, it's audited returns and a large dish of humble pie to surf if his PD's are trounced by my TA and conversely I will declare surf's PD's to be the object of my undying admiration and envy should he out perform my student.

  6. Thanks. The anonymous stealth vendor was never able to develop any followers so stealth latches onto whoever is believed to have a following in a vain attempt to sway a few noobs by the inane verbiage and child like challenges and claims. Truly sad, . With marketsurfer being the 3rd most followed name of all time on elitetrader and my easy going persona ( #1 and #2 would not tolerate the crap on their threads) stealth latched onto this journal as a platform. Otherwise, no listeners.
I feel bad for him but wish he would stop polluting my journal.

PS. If stealth really wanted to Prove TA he would simply post his statements-- no need for audits rather than the weird school yard bully type challenge.

  7. This will just fall on his deaf ears. But, regardless, many people see him being evasive on this issue despite his demands placed on others. Hypocritical, but it is what it is. He won't change.

Yeah, I also was accused of being one of those snake oil selling cowards, being a shill for [enter name of author/vendor here], and obviously hiding something behind my "carefully crafted online persona as an expert BSD trader" (Surf's words), because if my TA-based trading was so great, why wasn't I proving it in the friendly ET combine competition last fall, and my reply was that I had nothing to prove and no reason to give up $50K of potential profit during that time. And folks were all over me for even insinuating that it was possible to generate $50K of profit over 10 days of TA-based trading.
