So the data that comprises the chart is meaningful but not the chart itself? If you get a channel break up or down and it hold for 5 mins, is that a trade?
Just remove the word "chart" from your trading vocabulary and you will be much further ahead. i regret posting a chart seeing the confusion and misinterpretation it has caused some noobs and wannbes. i have never met a succesful chart based trader, nor have i ever seen any evidence of one, not to mention zero academic studies revealing an edge via charts. once again, my posting of a chart was merely to illustrate my words--nothing to do with trading decisions, numbers, or data. surf PS- read my mentor's victor niederhoffer practical speculation and william gallacher winner take all for a deeper understanding of this idea.
