  1. Huh... Actually that is me...!:D

Besides getting a decent education and a degree from a top school my one true genius came from beating video games. I play all my PS3 games at maximum setting and I never cheat... You should see some of the stats I've put up playing Ghost Recon... they're scary... Like getting scores of 18500 with no deaths... Trust me it's hard to do... Getting shot just once at "Original Ghost Recon" (maximum difficulty) setting means "Game Over"...

The thing that drives me up the wall is that none of that really works anymore in trading... I'd stay at the "arcade" all day if I could still make a living at it...!

You and Surf. Also known as The Blow Up Brothers. LOL.

Hilarious that the guys who fail the worst talk the loudest. Keep it up. You are beyond entertaining.

  3. Who are you again...?

    Your accomplishments are what...?

Because if you don't have any then you should STFU!

    Well....

I am not a wannabe trader like yourself who couldn't even make money paper trading. (Congrats...in my 20 yrs in the biz you are one of the few I have seen who could not make money on a Sim).

Been in the biz for 20 yrs. Hedge Funds/CTA's, Prop Desks. Enough experience to have seen all different kinds of traders. You fall into the category of a failed one who blames everyone else for his lack of success.

Your attempt at Patak was a riot though. Next time perhaps learn the order entry system before starting. LOL. But even that wouldn't have stopped you from imploding. You have no discipline. Were doomed from day 1.

Interesting that one of your trading heroes is also one of the first to publish studies on how and when to trade price patterns. Just like Cornix and NoDoji does. He also documented the ORB, another entry strategy ridiculed in this thread.

His book (Day Trading With Short Term Price Patterns and Opening Range Breakout) is a bit dated but still a favourite of mine. TA with another name.

  6. No benefits. Good point.

No vacation. You mean no paid vacation.

No interaction with others. Probably true for most.

I understand Surf's skepticism because there is a lot of smoke and mirrors in this industry. But it seems Surf is moving the goalposts here. First it's trading is impossible, then it's maybe possible but only if you're rich, then it's maybe possible if you're not rich but then it's only a meager existence. It seems you can't win as a trader.

Then again maybe he's right and trading really does suck. I haven't been doing this for that long. :D

    1) I started trading in March 2005. 2008 is when I started trading Euro (tried other instruments before that, mostly CME traded SIF's).

    2) What makes you think I only trade micro accounts and my OPM plans are limited with just $10K (a couple of days ago you said it's $4K... your mind-reading software is buggy or what? :D )?

Surf, watch youself. You sound like you know for sure what you don't. You once told me you are familiar with NLP. Doesn't your own behavior remind you the NLP term "reading thoughts"? All because the reality you are presented with in this thread doesn't fit your picture of reality. If you accept it, you'll likely advance, so why the denial?

  9. I certainly don't want to spread any blasphemous rumors and offer a retractions and apology to any misstatements of fact ---- here are my sources-- twitter--- does state actively trading since 2005, Euro since 2008-- regardless, i stand by my assertion that this remains very little experience in the arena of the market.
the 4k or 10-k OPM statements was from the only evidence of OPM trading http://www.zulutrade.com/TradeHistoryIndividual.aspx?pid=123033
I must admit I never heard of Zulu Trade-- but a glance seems to appear its a micro account OPM manager? If those numbers have zeros after them, I apologize for not understanding ZuluTrade-- but for some reason, I doubt something called Zulu Trade does.

I am not a mind reader, so maybe Cornix is a the first major siberian hedge fund manager in disguise--- I would have no way of knowing except by the evidence I could find.

Once again, thank you for clarifying my misstatements and I apologize for stating anything in error.

PS-- if i took every claim to be "reality:" particullarly in this business-- a swift and final death would be right around the corner---

No problem Surf, it was rather my mistake to not clarify things enough. Zulutrade always was more like a hobby/track record thing (after you challenged me in August to show some performance of TA trading, I did 50+ public trades since then, but it didn't convince you somehow :) ). It never was my "real" project so to say... Actually I'm not so public person, prefer to run business in a more comfortable and private conditions.

And OPM I seriously do is not public, just people I know for years (and who know me for years) who trust me managing their accounts using POA agreement. There isn't a plan to make it a huge fund (we can't predict future but at least for now), just a small private fund of several investors and that's it. Will give me the experience in that area along with comfort of not dealing with clients who are pain in the *ss, but only those who perfectly understand what I do and are ready to share my trading (and risks) in exchange for the profit.

    P. S. My good online buddy Chibondking whom you know in the "real world" beyond ET AFAIK, once sent me the article which was about the best place in the world to trade (due to equal distance so world's top exchanges)... the place named was Western Siberia. :D
