1. Very insightful, Yella.

We have a base line here of folks making $400 per day on a $10k account--- some amazing claims-- not to mention rarely having a losing day due to some kind of supernatural "price reading" ability or something....

Is is wrong to be cynical about this?

    Surf,

Unlike you I have zero interest in gaining any followers or exposure. I think I make that very clear. I have had the honor of trading with some unbelievable traders over the last 20 years. Unlike you I am not going to name names. But I will tell you this, the guys who made it huge did it by managing risk. Knew where to get out, and yes....a lot do use stops.

You are a nice guy Surf. I am sure you are a great guy to have a beer with. You are a good writer. And try not to take this the wrong way......but your knowledge of actual trading and what makes a great trader is non-existent.

You can take all your cute little studies. Those and $1.50 will get you a ride on the subway. Sorry....I've seen too much over the years to know what works and what doesn't.

  4. Ok, thanks for the kind words------ There are many that know far more than I do, I'll readily admit this--- but at the same time, I am not going to believe many of the claims I have heard without evidence. surf

  6. Quote from R. Raskolnikov:

No one here has claimed to never lose. I don't know what the OP is talking about.

Its not "never lose" its rarely have a losing day. That is what was said. surf

  7. Never lose was hyperbole-- I apologize if it offended anyone--

This is exactly what I was referring to in your leaders words:

  9. Thanks. what's your opinion regarding claims of rarely having a losing day?

I thought even the best traders lose most of the time, just that the wins are way bigger than the losses.
