Yeah , TA is great for illustrating and explaining what has happened. Not so great for making actual decisions. surf
lol you got problems telling the past from the future again surf? It seems to be a disease on ET. Remember you were the one who asked me what would happen next - want a reminder of my posts here that you call lucky and where you doubled up long when I said go short? This is just a continuation
I recall reading Xpurt making calls on your stocks PRIOR to what ended up occurring. I'm not sure how you can deny that, just go back and read his posts and then see where price was when he made his calls. His calls were all clearly made in advance of the moves.
A blast from the past, back when I was working for Trout Capital Management as a TA guy/ advisor, no less!
So if TA doesn't/didn't work, your job was similar to my homeopathy salesman job. You don't have to believe in it as long as it makes you money!
LOL! No Pekelo, I was a TA hard core true believer for years. Enough to be hired by a fund to teach the founder the basics and given trading authority over a portion of the capital. To answer the pending question-- I was down 3% on the year when the main backer pulled his capital for unrelated reasons. After that, I started thinking about how markets really work and tried to apply the scientific method to my inquiries. Chart TA was soon dismissed as a un needed and delusional part of trading.
