Once again this infamous 20% statement should be elaborated.

I several times repeated that by 20% being poor trading I only mean day trading with relatively small account. I also asked who in his mind would sit all day in front of the screen to make $20K/year on $100K account. Nobody replied that he would. :D

Now if we speak about seriously scalable trading/speculation 20% is completely different story and is stellar return.

Somehow Surf tends to repeatedly "forget" this last nuance I always mention. Weird to say the least for a market professional to not see the obvious difference between these two kinds of trading.

    P. S. When you speak about 1-3% target per month which maximum PTTDD would you consider OK to achieve that to consider it worth the efforts?

  2. Once again the guy is scoffing at making $20,000 per year consistently in the markets-- calling that a "waste of time". Please STOP posting on my thread, if you want to mislead folks use your own platform and not mine. He rarely has losses, takes no risk, and scoffs at 20% plus consistent returns like he has some kind of money making machine-- but when he talks about it, it sound verbatim out of a trading book PTTDD-- WTF? Stop cluttering up MY journal with your nonsense. It is no welcomed here. The scaling issue is completely BS--- your name use to be FOREX--- why not turn the money machine onto a deep liquid market? Maybe because it doesn't work. surf

Never said "rarely have losses", never said "no risk". Never scoffed at 20% PLUS returns, rather at 20% MINUS/EQUAL returns as a result of day trading only.

As for $20K/year. I am pretty sure you would scoff if offered a job in New York paying $20K/year, right? Why trading should be different?

FX is indeed a scalable market, but not as scalable as you think for a day trader. You obviously can't day trade 1000 contracts of 6E as effectively as you do say 50.

Face it, you've never dealt with real trading for a living Surf, when you have to pay bills off profits, grow your account and deal with real (not imaginery) liquidity. :)

You do not own the journal Surf. Every thread on ET is for the benefit of every member, not just for ego boost of OP. If people or moderators decide I post off-topic they will say so I believe. So far you're the only person who dislikes my posts here.

Edit: sorry, post which this one was reply to is deleted.

  5. Readers,

I apologize for the hijacking of this thread. Since the moderators don't seem to care, I suggest the placing of the offending party on ignore--- as long as he isn't qouted there will be no more need to even see the posts.

With that said, we are looking closely at FNMA and holding YM short here.

  6. I, and other readers, understand what you mean. Certain "other" people just want to create drama and twist words around.

  8. corn, we all have different personalities..but i do feel those who are so prolific in et posting re their abilities should toss out a doc or 2 ..kinda makes it a bit more real. there are countless other guys out there who talk about themselves, i was not singling you out by any means..surf is always welcome to post also!!

forgive me , i do not know what the abbreviation is that you ask me previously. if it refers to DD, you can see many portfolio analysis i have put out there ends of each quarter.

    No problem, 66. :)

It's even better this way. I'll keep updating how this venture goes for me to see if that 20% is achieved anytime soon or not. :)
