  1. For an active and established daytrader, yes 20% is a poor return.

Yes, I speak solely about day trading here. For value investing and other highly scalable strategies 20% is stellar.

But for a moderately scalable day trader it's not something to be proud of, except maybe the fact of being a winner and not a loser, ha. :)

  3. Exactly. This is why we have prefaced it by saying "daytrader" and not any trader or investor.

  4. Our short position has turned positive by about 50 YM points here--- One of these break downs is going to be the BIG ONE, taking the DJIA down 1000 plus points very very soon. Remaining short and waiting for the big wave--- I urge extreme caution to the bulls.

  6. I guess to the dreamers and paper trading tigers by supporting your delusionary beliefs. We deal with reality on the surf report/alerts and do not allow promotional nonsense in the guise of authoritorialy delivered half baked market knowledge. surf

Why don't you keep your journal as a polite discussion related to trading? If I'm wrong about anything, why if you know the truth not share it in the form of argument to enlighten your readers and inform them what the reality is?

In exact detailed terms I mean, not broad slogans like "it takes risk to trade".

What did I say wrong about those "hedges" for example? Isn't long stock long put absolutely equal to a synthetic long call? Or something else? :)

  8. Management will soon be well aware of the stealth vendor, it takes awhile for them to catch on sometimes, untill then, I suggest everyone place the person on ignore, as I have done. This is just another example on how nothing good EVER comes from the folks first attracted here by Forex. Even I was fooled for awhile with this one. Once again, DO NOT POST on my thread stealth vendor.

PS-- readers please do not qoute the guy, he will either leave to start his own thing or be banned very soon. thanks

Surf, you're an adult man, why act like a spoiled kid?

Let's discuss trading in a civilized way to the benefit of all thread participants. Why do you all the time slip to ad hominem talk?

BTW, I was ET member since early 2005 and was not attracted by "forex" here. Actually traded SIFs back then and do trade SIFs now too.

  10. I won't quote Cornix but I will tell you my thoughts.

He adds value to your journal, has got the mark of a good sensible trader and I agree with everything he has said without even knowing the guy.

If you want a good journal, do not make things personal, you are radical in your beliefs, which will obviously produce arguments.

    Just my humble opinion.
