You are kidding yourself They even have formula for social media. Giving a weighting for fundamentals is the easy part and is as old as the hills. How else can a fundy analyst determine if a price is under or over valued but go through a bunch of formulas. Nowadays it's just hyper advanced but sorry to tell you, surf is bringing up the rear and in a big way looking at the fundamental data driving oil.
Open question, and I am sorry if this ruffles feathers: Just out of curiosity, why is everyone so hard on marketsurfer? I like his posts and appreciate the contributions of anyone who is not trying to deceive others into separating themselves from their hard earned cash. Seems like he has been trading for quite a long time, made a few bad trades (which everyone who trades on a discretionary basis has done in the past), but shouldn't deserve to get chastised. Again, sorry to intervene, I just keep reading this thread and wonder why the bashing occurs. It just seems counterproductive to all parties. I did read some dramatic-type posts but try to ignore it as it is irrelevant. Trading can be stressful, so it's understandable that we might have a few bad trades, or a few bad posts, especially when at this game for a very long time. I'm sure that trading is this emotionless zen scenario for some people, but I'd be willing to bet this is not the case for the majority, even those who are profitable long term. Just my view, anyway. Thanks.
agree ms has good points. looks like that upsets lots of people. What if it is true what he says about TA ? I share similar view. Then all these guys are out in cold or soon to be. Also a bit of jealousy, i guess.
Thanks for the perspective. I was a major TA proponent through 2003-- MTA member, chart reader etc. I believe the TA folks feel betrayed by me reversing my position on the subject after tremendous study and research. Just like members who leave Scientology are harassed by the cult---it's the same way for those who leave the TA church. surf
Yes, understood. Just figured it's easy enough to silently ignore. Trading is stressful. Dramatic posts are expected in this game. I know it really has changed my path. I got into it a long time ago and lost my ass, had no clue what the hell I was doing, etc. Studied my ass off and WORKED, saved money.
If everyone ignored all of his childish drama and train wreck trading, there wouldn't be much of anyone left. What happened to controlling emotions? Gordon Gekko:...don't get emotional about stock.
