I've seen you do exactly the same in the past to TA folks when you were conversing with TraderZones. Please don't be a hypocrite. Reminder, my old user name is NihabaAshi and I do have a vivid memory about those conversations with you prior to Baron allowing me to change my user name.

You made a promise and I sincerely hope Magna will force you to keep your promise or move the thread. That's their choice...not yours or mine.

Anyways, I've already filed my complaint to Magna in private and openly in this thread. In addition, Baron is on record down in the feedback section with helping guys like you to leave out the door after they openly do what you have done in this thread. The issue is that those were low count posters whereas you have a long standing history here. Thus, they may not push you out the door AGAIN as they did in the past prior to you developing a history here but the odds of this thread being moved to chit chat and forcing you to start ANOTHER thread is fairly high.

Nothing personal considering we're just talking about your alter ego...right.

P.S. My value and threads were posted a long time ago at this site and still remains as one of the top 50 education threads here. You once showed up in the thread and posted some troll like nonsense...moderators than removed your promotion B.S. and gave you a warning about advertising. You didn't return.

 

I agree with wrbtrader - this thread belongs in chit-chat.

May I suggest that any future thread started by surf automatically be moved to chit-chat? He's clearly not here to provide value but "entertainment".

 

You're understanding of the law is pretty poor. You can not get arrested for simply threatening someone who is not real. You get arrested when you actually threaten a real person! There is a huge difference. So if Marketsurfer as an alias made a threat against Jimmy5353, that would never hold up in court especially if it's widely accepted we don't even know who Jimmy5353 is. If let's say it's commonly known that Jimmy5353 is Don Bright. A real person who can be found pretty easily and Surf threatened him, then there would be reasonable cause to believe that Don Bright could be in danger.

Second, in the case of stock manipulation, that is a violation of securities laws if someone spreads false rumors or tries to manipulate a stock whether under an alias or not.

None of these cases apply here. Surf is an alias. As are you. Unless wrbtrader is your legal birth name. And it's beyond absurd that you think an online persona has broken a promise and lied. The alias does not exist so he cannot lie to you. Jesus man, have you read this message board. If we were going to shut it down based on lies and false information this site would been gone in 1999.

Look, you either come willingly to this site accepting the fact it's an online message board and that comes with all the baggage that ALL online message boards have or you simply don't come here. I have read many forums in my years, some on travel, bodybuilding, science, politics, jobs, etc and the one thing they all have in common is 99% of it is bullshit. The ONLY forums I have ever encountered where you have credibility is where you do NOT allow an alias. You have to register as your real full name and that name has to be verified. That way I know EXACTLY who I'm talking to. Those types of boards have lots of civility in general and tend to be a value add. I've asked Baron to do that with ET but I think he knew he would lose 99% of the posters here who would rather "hide" behind a false identity such as wrbtrader. Either accept ET for what it is or stop complaining about it.

Yes, some moderation is good to maintain some sort of order. And I do agree that whatever this particular thread is or started as has gone seriously off topic and should be moved. However to be fair, even when his threads are moved to chit chat, the attackers follow him down there and continue where they left off. If getting lied to on a message board bothers you then I don't think you should be reading or posting on them. Because you will find very little truth or facts here, just a lot of opinions.

 

You know I gave no details about those arrest cases nor did I imply such about user names. My commentary was specifically about real persons using the "alter ego" via a user name. Regardless, surf has used his real name here at this forum and of those he associates with. Simply, he is a real person associated with a specific user name.

My commentary about surf was not about criminal intent. The commentary is that using the "alter ego" as a defense is laughable in the eyes of judges, lawyers and forum owners...you of all people should know such via your interaction down in the feedback section with ET management.

Anyways, we both agree this is no longer a trade journal and should be located somewhere else but not here. Will Magna, Joe or Baron do such is really their choice.

Please stop...you of all people have had many conversations with me as NihabaAshi and as wrbtrader. I've disclose to you specifically on two occasions that I was NihabaAshi of the past...both times you have replied with acknowledgement. In addition, you and I have specifically shared the belief that TA can not work by itself. We both have criticize those that say they use TA and nothing else for consistently profits. You have openly agreed with me about such many times.

Therefore, I will now assume this is not the same surf I've had conversations with in the past and this is just a different "alter ego" or new persona developing.

Yes, we know who Surf is which means HE can legally go after you or anyone else that attacks him but not the reverse. There is no case I'm aware of in our legal system where charges have ever been brought against someone threatening an alias whose identity was unknown to all. It's simply not legally possible. I mean if that were true our court system would have 100k pending cases from all the attacks that go in the blogosphere and on internet forums.

Yes Surf is a real person. But his persona Marketsurfer is NOT real. He has an alter ego just like YOU. Look, it wouldn't shock me if there were guys on here pretending they were chics or vice versa. I honestly don't care.

And you're right if there was any enforcement action that could be taken on this forum, the P&R area would have 5k court cases pending. There are none.

What it seems like to me is now that you have revealed that you have multiple aliases yourself and you have a history with Surf, this seems to be personal with you. You should take that personal vendetta to PM and off the boards. The rest of us don't need to read about your conflicts with him.

 

I'll repeat, surf or marketsurfer is NOT an annonymous user name. He has associated his real name at this forum. Therefore, the "alter ego" defense will not work even with forum owners. As a reminder of proof, he has been banned (I've seen such occur twice) and it had nothing to do with traders that hate him. He broke the rules and pssst of ET management with his arrogance after breaking the rules...its as simple as that.

As for myself, I have revealed to marketsurfer (nickname surf) that I had a prior user name that Baron (ET management) gave me permission to change after such was advised to do such. What prompt the advice to change my user name by Joe and a moderator is personal that had nothing to do with surf or TA.

Now getting back to why this thread should be moved or closed...its obvious it should be. It's not personal just like all those in this thread have told him to move own and keep his promise. I'm just repeating what others have already stated in this thread multiple times (please review the timeline of statements the past few days).

My issue is with his obvious lack of integrity wrt these calls. I choke a little when typing that word to describe actions taken on ET. Tells us he's 90% or 100% "all-in" when he would be liquidated within 40-50 points on YM. He takes 100-300 in heat and he's still talking it up.

You've knocked handles like taclander when surf acts just as poorly.

I realize this will be deleted, but I want to state publicly that this BS should not be tolerated, or at the very least tossed to chit-chat. Magna should be paid a living wage by Surfer for the constant editing and deletions. It's ironic as surf is one of the biggest offenders; aliases, marketing competing sites, complete BS trades, etc.
