When Facebook went public they were only making 233 million per year. When google went public they were only making 286 million. Going public gave them the capital to get to the size they are now. The same is true for EVERY IPO.
True, I suspect some companies go public to line the pockets of the original founders/investors when they know the risk of competition is high or similar reasons. That way they can sell a portion of their shares and still maintain some degree of ownership. I don't know much about SNAP's business model but I certainly perceive it as being a bit flaky.
How old ? Feel your pain brother This worked great colic issues for my children http://mommysbliss.com/shop/gripe-water/
And how much was Snapchat making? LOL. Did you see how "huge" the growth was in Q1? Going public to have more capital is a fake argument for Snapchat. Future will confirm this. In fact Q1 already confirmed it.
It's amazing you can come up with an idea like Snapchat and be $4B richer. Capitalism at its very best.
Thanks for the sympathy. tried the gripewater. It worked a little-- but not much. Appreciate the tip-- Its very difficult cause u want to help the little guy, but there in nothing u can do. It makes other issues seem irrelevant after so many days of no sleep-- He is one month. Here is a rare photo of baby surf not screaming --
You asked me why didn't google or facebook stay private because they could have made more money from profits if they didn't go public.. I answered that they would have never gotten to the size they are now without going public. You also said that you should never invest in an ipo where the owners make more from the ipo than they can make from operating profits. EVERY single company that has gone public has given the owners more money INITIALLY than they could make from operating profits. SNAP may not make it, but they are no different than any other IPO from an owners standpoint.
The baby will grow better and healthier, if you stick with ABBOTT products for the infant formula, aside of breast feeding, they have formula for all stages, fiber included ensures no colics: Space age nutrition. YM short looks good... Price Drivers!... lol.
